I guess you don't remember. At the end of Age of Ultron, Laura Barton was showing Natasha a video of Clint's newborn in a shirt with his name on it. It said Nathaniel Pietro Barton. He was named for his best friend and the man who saved his life.

While I'm sure they had diversity reasons for including Clint's deafness from the comics, I do like how they've explained it. It really adds to the idea that he's a (mostly) normal human being in very extraordinary and stressful circumstances. It's what makes him unique among the Avengers.

This is actually a pretty decent set-up. Kate lost her father and she probably sees Clint as a way to fill the void of the positive male role model in her life and not just as her icon. The only thing that would've made it more dramatically effective would be if Clint's kids were dead. But that probably would've been too dark and melodramatic. They wouldn't do that and I completely understand. Still...

Had fun with the first two episodes. Decided to watch the premiers with you. Second episode Is an improvement and we are getting somewhere. It took 4 episodes in for Falcon and the winter soldier to get really good. Do you have an idea about the ending?
