Time to Return to Night City (Patreon)

Hey everyone. 

Belethor's back with a new set. This time a Cyberpunk set. But the journey here was anything from straight forward. Time for the misadventures of Belethor's last 5 days. 

So, after finishing my Mass Effect set I was yoyoing around between two sets. A Balder's Gate one and a set with Harley and Catwoman with Superman. With the former, I had no idea what set I wanted to do or which monster to use. So I went with the latter DC set. The plan was to do a smut version of the infamous Batman scene from the awful new Suicide Squad game. 

However, every location I picked for it looked awful and I could not for the life of me get it to look right. So then I though I'd go back to the BG3 set and cook something with Shadowheart. But I had no idea what the set would be. No monster, no location no plot no nothing. So I was flip-flopping around with this. 

At this point I had wasted a day with this. So the following day I tried to DC set again. But no luck. Could not vibe with it. So now I'm like I'll go and do a RE4 remake set with Ada and Leon. Had the models picked, location, plot all nailed in. It was going to a be porn version of their first meeting in the remake, but with spicy results. 

At this stage 2 days had been lost just trying to pick a set to work on. And I was getting frustrated. But the RE4 set looked to be a winner. But the location I was using had awful lighting that needed a lot of reworking from scratch to get how I want. That plus the Ada model being kinda broken just added to my frustration. 

This was 3 days of just trying to find a set that works. I was getting really annoyed. I thought 'fuck it' I'll do a remake set of Part 1 of my Resident Evil series. Spent a few hours on this but I just wasn't feeling it. Plus I felt like I copped out by working on this. Felt like I was admitting defeat. 

Finally I went with a Cyberpunk set idea I've had for awhile. But even this wouldn't work at first as a bunch of the models I wanted to use won't work in Blender 4.0 (we're in a weird phase now where new things are being made for 4.0 but older models won't work with it. Think of it like the transition phase between console generations). 

But at long last, yesterday on the 7th I was finally able to lock this set in and start to render out images. And I was in a much better place. It was a catch 22 really. I was getting more and more frustrated with every failed set which then made me rush setting up the next one - thus not vibing with it. Repeating the cycle. 

This is pretty rae for me as I usually lock myself in to a set to work on pretty quickly. Sure I might scrap one early but never have like 5 sets in a row not work on me. Thankfully it's all good now. Got a cool little story with this set. Plus I'll be adding text to the story elements as subtitles as the set up I wanted to tell was impossible without dialogue.
