Greetings Patrons,

Here's an urban noire, surveillance, cyberpunk, underscore mashup. In my constant quest for liminal spaces and environments, I've always enjoyed a good stakeout. Stakeouts are a lot like fishing in that the activity is a pretense for the real purpose: A proper get-to-know-you hang.

Yes, the plot device is to show the audience what the bad guys are up to, but stakeouts are also about the character development of the watchers. Who are they, and why are they here?

In this ambience, 2 characters are in a city apartment on a high floor. They snap photos, read newspapers, type notes on a laptop, and assemble something on a table (sniper rifle? MacGuffin?) They could also be cracking a safe, it's unclear.

Musically this is cyberpunk and synth-wave adjacent. It would work in a fairly wide variety of modern or sci-fi scenes as underscore. Here, synths are sprinkled with orchestral instruments. Tremolo strings and marimba to be specific.

As this track is in sneak-peek mode, I've included the mixed version (live on the site next week), as well as ambience-only, and music-only versions here for patrons. Additionally, I removed the outside cityscape and created 2 'Quiet Versions' that are just the interior activities and room tones.

Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.

Best,

Tim

Excellent! Definitely will fit in my Cpunk game!

Dude genius idea. Now I want more cityscapes with rain and sirens and traffic. Safehouse setting, hiding away and waiting for something to go down? Busy late night hole in the wall restaurant setting, the bosses are meeting about some important move?
