Like a cross between bacon and broken glass: this lava crunches when you step on it and it cuts you if you put your skin on it with applied pressure and scrape the surface. I cut my hand at this shoot! Pulled out the broken shards like a BOSS! 

Bob of Art of Women became very cautious and started getting edgy when we saw fumes of hot air spewing from cracks in the ground, as we neared the point where hot molten lava from the earth’s core was breaking the surface! (You can see in the background of these photos the steam cloud from the point where the lava emerges into the ocean)

*******Life Update******

You all have been sent your new passwords and rewards, your gifts (for those of you who pledge $36 or higher, and I have your mailing address!) are on the way!

I am on my west coast tour now, had a breakdown on the freeway yesterday  (see here)  and am hopefully going to be up and on my way to the Bay Area by tonight! Please keep me and my trusty 2010 Chevy Aveo in your hearts and minds, we are dealing with some real life events right now!!!

I repeated the serenity prayer over and over again: "Grant me the Serenity to Accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference" ... This is a learning experience for me. Maintaining my cool and remaining positive!

The show must go on! Honestly, when I was waiting for AAA to arrive freezing my ass off in my car on the side of I5 South near Canyonville, OR, I considered pussying out and just going home, or getting a 14 hour greyhound trip and taking Uber EVERYWHERE from shoot to shoot. Well I have not done all my positive affirmations and morning meditations in futility! I will manifest a positive outcome, even though a few shoots will be missed (that were scheduled for today) 

You know what else I thought of when I was stuck with anxiety waiting for my tow truck? I thought about YOU and your support! The hourly rates I make at shoots is part of my income, but with Patreon now my stress about having to pay to fix my car, pay for a hotel and tow truck, and losing the gigs I won’t be able to make in the Bay Area is alleviated! So a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you :)
