Teaser doodle and lore dump (Patreon)

Hey so I finished up a quick teaser pic for my social media locations and wanted to make sure and post it in here also! Had some fun doodling up a nice backshot of Bod with their little axolotl friend. Which made me realize that I haven't really talked about Bod's companion yet. Thought I might give a bit of small info dump on Ali, the heart and soul of the void suit!

So I've had this brewing for a bit now, and have shown off in a few of the teasers over the last few years. Ali is sort of the controlling AI or built in system that manages the void suit. In general for the the current world I've been building (we will call it the Vault) AI is very rare, almost considered lost technology. Ali here is one of the few rare ones that Bod discovers by complete accident upon donning the suit. She tends to like to represent herself as a little glowing blue axolotl, and can tend to pop out of any location on the suit when she wants to show herself. 

Outside of being way too sassy (loves nothing more than to tease Bod, or say way too incriminating things while Bod is trying to haggle with a customer...), Ali runs all of the complex calculations needed to run the suit without catastrophic failure. This includes inventory management, item offloading/onloading, and even energy transfer needs. Hence her name Ali (automated logistics interface). So you would think that Bod found some sort of ancient AI capable of solving world hunger. But nah he found a seriously capable sorting AI that makes sure Bod doesn't lose that random trinket that a grandma asked them to deliver to the grandchildren.

But over time as the 2 bond and become lifelong friends and partners they do start to develop some crazy symbiosis! Having a friend that is always with you through thick and thin tends to really help with exploring the world of Vault :3!
