Hello friends! Thanks for tuning in today for my 3D modeling life stream! Today I made two more creatures from Tome of Beasts:

  • Cactid - this plant monster was a fun sculpting and modeling project! Given the needles are rather thin if you print this in FDM I recommend using tooth pick tips. For resin users I made a presupported file, but this time its one of the rare moments where its actually flat on the bed as this would print well for once flat on the bed. I'd also add some little hobby store plants around its base to add to the planty vibe ;) . Given the files are rather large the Google Drive link is here.
  • Burrowling - this cute little groundhog-folk was an adorable little project to take on today. For FDM users I'd print it on its back or as is. It'd print fine either ways, though I prefer on its back. For resin users I've suppled the pressupported file.

That's that for August! It was a productive month! But onto the next! Stay amazing friends!

Did you actually print that cactid? I am not sure those spines will print well, not and have any integrity.

I just made it today so no lol. But all the needles are pointed upward at an angle that doesn't need supports. They won't show up on FDM but will in resin. And worse comes to worse just use toothpicks cuz crafting is fun :)

Yeah I was wondering if you made a model with just holes instead of the spines then we'd have a place to put the toothpicks :)

Awesome, looking forward to that. If the holes are large enough I can use it for my paint brushes!
