Here is the Armanite from Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, now printed and painted :-D

I printed him with my Photon, at a 45 degree angle towards his back. There were a ton of supports, but Jen was awesome as usual and actually took care of that while I was away on my Army Reserve Service this weekend :-)

Full files are in the MTOF folder under Demons, and the stl can be found here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/7QFDSV5A4/armanite

FDM friendly version here: https://www.shapeways.com/product/YDUPL5TVU/armanite-for-fdm

Next up is the Bulezau!

We fought one last night. I hadn't gotten it printed yet though.

Could I ask a question? Why the 45 degree back? I see it all over the place, just curious. Super new to 3d printing

I've noticed that printing it as is leads to a big formation of hardened resin at the bottom of the base that is very hard to remove. By angling it back you have a much easier time removing supports.

Based on CJ's question, does this hold true at all for FDM printing? Is it better to print in back 45 degree angle with supports or just standing up with a brim/raft and supports?
