So I upgraded to the Photon this week and I'm very very satisfied with the results! This is a print for one of my Ancient Dragons I'm working on right now. I'm looking forward to more stress free resin prints in the future :-D

Welcome to the club! My photon is probably one of my favourite purchases I've ever made.

That's awesome! Been enjoying mine as well. I'm printing the updated red dragon currently. Body finishes up today and will be painting soon after!

The only think I complain about my photon is that the bed needs to be bigger but I think that is every printer I have

Had recently got a photon just I could make nicer miniatures, been loving that little machine.

Oh wow, congrats!! You might already know, but when I first got my Photon I hadn't heard of Chitubox: www.chitubox.com/download.html It's the same slicing software but rebranded and more developed. It's got much better support generation! And just for reference, my print-and-walk-away settings for minis are: Layer thickness: 0.02 Normal exposure time: 11 Off time: 2 Bottom exposure time: 110 Bottom layers: 12 I wish someone had spelled this stuff out to me when I first got my Photon, so I wanted to share, I hope that's okay! 😁 Have fun!

This is awesome news! My Photon arrives today, so excited to get some minis out!

That's great! I'm a fellow photoner. I've been feeling slightly bad that I get better results with your models than you do lol

one of us. One of us. One of us.

Love my Photon and finding things to print is what led me to your Patreon. :D I recently did a small herd of Xorn and Almiraj to hand out to friends. I found that doing a 50/50 mix with the AnyCubic transparent resin and the Monocure Flex gives the minis a bit more resilience. Also, I'd love to see your weighted-butt spear (often seen on female characters) with a thicker haft.:D

It's a great little printer!

I have been eyeing the photon too. looking forward to what you think in a few weeks.

I use a Photon and it's excellent. Provided that you use a decent resin, you can get INCREDIBLY detailed prints (I am talking down to individual eyelashes). I will post a few prints using the awesome mz4250's files.

How do you feel about the maximum print volume on the Photon? is it big enough?

Anonymous

This is great. As more people get access to resin printers my hope is that more of the models produced will take advantage of the higher detail that is possible, but also be designed in a way that makes printing it in resin easier. Printing "FDM models" on a resin printer isn't always optimal.

Hello. I tried to become a Wyvern and even got a receipt from Paypal saying it was charged. But Patreon doesn't show any registration of payment or patroning. I've submitted a help ticket with Patreon but haven't gotten a response. Do you have any suggestions for this? I am new here.

mz4250

It says the same on my end that you're not supporting anyone. That's weird. I'd see what they say. Itll take a few days probably

looking forward to it. also, how toxic is the Resin? I heard that it's terrible and you should pretty much seek a doctor if you get it on your skin. and I also heard it's nothign worse than laundry/cleaning detergent stuff and just wash it off if you get some on your skin. so yeah, just kinda wondering how bad it is.

mz4250

Yeah no clue. I just wash my hands. I always wear gloves regardless

is this just with anycubic clear resin?

So, I got your emailed access to your files but patreon is still showing I'm not pledging to anyone. Do I show up on your list as a patron?
