Hi!!!!

Laysla Emanuele

I am excited! Nothing better than a video of you to color my day

Nira

Yeah, the best thing today is watching your reaction while I'm lying in my bed sick due to Covid 😊

J.N

Yayyy let me go get a snack right quick 😂

j

My fav time - 10pm with CCW! Making sure I have my Sauvignon Blanc spritzer next to me watching this. x :D

S0uL YgR

Hey how about for your intro you say something like "Welcome back to the house of primos and their wives or Thank you for joining the house of primos with their wives to watch Bon Voyage" just saying, no pressure to use this 🤣 so sad you are finishing this season already but very excited for the next one too 💜

raeven b.

They had a little inside joke about "sauna" because there's a hip hop song from like, 2008-2012 (somewhere in there) from a duo called Dynamic Duo who had a song called Sauna. In it, they repeat "sauna" in the chorus. I used to listen to that song a lot in high school, so I was super amused that they knew it too haha

Ikra

Loved this! There is another episode (8) where they go to Santa Village.

Aulia

the last episode i think just an interview with the members about the trip and they are going to ….. in every seasons of bon voyage, the last episode always has a little interview with the members

j

Jin & RM are from wealthy families so they attended English summer school in New Zealand (very popular for wealthy Korean kids) to learn English. Suga has good knowledge of English since he is a rapper from a young age and loves American rap. All schools in rich Asian countries teach English. x

I'd say that most of what came in Bang PD's letter became true... What I can remember is that they did participate almost 100% in one of their albums, during mail Monday some people told you that they worked in pretty much en tired creative process of their album BE, and we did hear at some point how Bang PD told them that he was proud, he probably did it before but we (ARMY) got to hear it after they got an important nomination, if I'm not mistaken it was after a Grammy nomination but I'm not 100% sure, if I am please correct me, I just remember the members teasing him because it sounded like he was crying lol Sejin is one of their manager, he's been with them for a long time and often goes with them to any off schedule activities, like when they go to another artists' concerts or a basketball game etc... He wasn't lying when he said he's stuck with them 24/7, but they ger along very well, otherwise he wouldn't be assigned to be with them this much. For future reference guys, their staff is always around even though we don't exactly see them on camera, if something goes really bad then they help like the moment they picked V when he got lost. The camera staff and probably some managers are near but give them a lot more freedom than they're used to. Still, they pretty much planned the whole trip and guided them with their budget and places to be, so somehow the members still get a little help. Nowadays we know they do travel alone for pleasure and individual schedules, I strongly believe that Bon Voyage really prepared them for it.

Nihahoney

I am just suggesting that it would be better if you start their documentaries. It will be good if you start with Burn the stage. Like alternate one bon voyage and one documentary????

Yasmine SB

Haha Gabriel was literaly the statue in the room, you dunno if he's happy, sad or whatever... Remind me sometimes of Buster Keaton.

j

Bang PD cried during his phone call with BTS in the behind the scenes "Idol/Gyeongbokgung Palace" shoot for Jimmy Fallon when they received their first ever Billboard 100 no.1 with Dynamite. x

boraveena

I loved that Bang PD's letter came true in 2020... they wrote their own album, design everything in it by themselves, and even Jungkook directed their MV.. I really love Bang PD's vision & guidance for BTS.. and now even the members called him Hyung..

Jules

Don't forget, they said at the beginning that they were visiting the Santa village. Joonie was disappointed because he couldn't go and loves Santa x💜

VALERIE MORAN

Lol at the helicopter ride prediction. I gotta say, Daniel predicts a lot of shit! Even in the airbender episodes he'll have a ton of questions that get answered but then he predicts shit all the time that happens. My husband is like that too 🥰💜

Miguel Angelo Ildefonso

Being able to call Bang Si Hyuk "Hyung" was Jin's proudest achievement 🥺💜

Vitz

I just realize, it would have been nicer if you've watched also the "Behind Cam" after every episode. Did anyone on discord mentioned it to you about it? That's another 8-10 mins of behind the scenes every ep. ☺️☺️

minimoni

they’ve already talked about this in their descriptions, but basically they don’t have enough time to watch it :]

Khadijah(deejahkosmos)⁷

There was a note from him at the beginning that stated he had a very long day at work so that explains why he was quiet in this vid

IcedLemonK

Loved watching your reaction! Looking forward to watching along as you continue into Season 2.

Jhianne02

I believe they've already started watching documentaries and other stuff like burn the stage even the In The Soop. They've probably already recorded them and just waiting for the right time to find schedule for them when they finish some of the content they've already started. I remember Daniel mentioned that in one of their intro on their reaction on YouTube. I believe it was during their reaction on TROB episode 4.

Nicole ♡

It’s funny watching the motorcycle part now because jungkook has lots of tattoos and a licence to ride one now lolll

J.N

Please delete don’t spoil it for them

kookietaetan

So I found 2 video’s that you should watch, no reaction needed, you will understand gawi bawi bo scissors rock paper and more, they have 3 ways to play gawi bawi bo, mook jji ppa and hana ppaegi here is the link https://youtu.be/e2iPthJg8Ew Next video is a compilation of BTS playing gawi bawi bo mook jji ppa and Hana ppaegi but they mix them all together it is very interesting to watch so again you will get a great idea of how it is done in Korea here is the link to this video https://youtu.be/AEV073YDP0w Please let me know what you think. Borahae💜

Danielle Carr

Bon Voyage Season 1 2016, Season 2 2017, Season 3 2018, Season 4 2019. Next season the episodes are 48-60mins long and each season they get a little longer. yes the trips do get better content. Jin says "Do you know BTS?", Is a running theme through all of the seasons.

Danielle Carr

In case you don't know RM would have loved biking, it's his favorite thing to do. He bikes and rides buses everywhere because still to this day at 28yrs he still doesn't have a driver's license or know how to drive.

Ailaudy93

The real dad joke is cause the word sauna is pronounced the same way that « fight »in korean. So some group (boy groups mostly like BTOB) made this joke : they yelled « fight » (sauna) when 2 members are bickering and end in a real sauna 😋

marjorie !

Loved the reaction as always! Saw the disclaimer, hope Gabriel feels better soon! A long day at work can kill anyone's mood, so I understand 💜

Helen H

I think jungkook was 18-19 here

raeven b.

Awww ok, missed that one! Haha sauna does sound like fight in Korean haha!

Ikra

Sorry, I didn’t realise that I was giving too much information.

Lisa M T

I disagree, I watched Bon Voyage before any documentaries in 2019, and loved getting to know them on a more personal level, before I watched all the documentaries. There is no wrong way to watch all their content.

Chris Drady

incase nobody has explained the 369 game - so they basically count and every number that contains a 3,6 or 9 they have to clap. so for 33 they have to clap twice, for 49, they clap once. its a speed thing - if you take too long to think, you lose. the boys play it a lot.

Dani

Finally got a chance to watch during my lunch. I too am having a long day today, so I feel ya Gabriel 🙃

DanielleM

Thank you all for this reaction!💜 And Gabriel, there’s not need to apologize. We all have days we just don’t have the energy to interact.

Relyn Morong

Gabriel and his Yoongi vibes

Relyn Morong

And Joon leaving things behind. s4 is where they are all there from start to finish that's why nz trip is the best (for me)

Arla

Soooo excited for you guys to hop in to the next bon voyage season or maybe in the soop or bts documentaries! Whichever you watch next will definitely be fun!!

Jaclyn bates

the song that you hear again is coffee

Karina Torres

Espero con ansias las reacciones a los demas Bon Voyage y a los In The Soop!! (bueno, si pueden jajaj)

Yasmine SB

Oooh I missed it... In any case, I hope they know if any of them is tired or has a hard time, he or she should rest and take care.. They can watch the episode on their own and give a feedback later.... I rather see only 3 or 2 of them than watching them prioritizing reactions instead of their health.

BTSJKHEY

Saying this as an Asian living in Asia, but South Korea is well known to have many and accessible student exchange programs (not just for wealthy Koreans). I believe it is more applicable to say that Jin and RM started as middle class (I believe they also mentioned this before). I know many Koreans that have opted for exchange programs in different countries that are not incredibly wealthy. And saying all schools in rich Asian countries teach English is a bit of a profound statement. Because a lot of Asian countries, rich or not, teach english in school. I live in both East Asia and South East Asia (I am of mixed nationalities), but sometimes they teach English more in developing countries. Because rich Asian countries like Japan, wants to protect and focus on their mother language rather than English.

Bertha Tillman

Thank you for the reactions you guys do! 🤍 If you’re ever having a bad day or tiring day, take a break don’t worry about filming for us we’ll understand! Have a great day!

BTSJKHEY

One way to grasp about BTS' English knowledge/skills is they can understand more than they can speak. English is a universal language so, of course, it is taught in schools and most people know basic English compared with other languages. So it's not like they don't know/speak any English words. They can totally understand or at least grasp what a person is saying in English but they have a hard time replying or expressing their full feelings back. I think this is very particular to people whose English is not their first language and also living in non-English speaking countries. I can totally relate to them.

TemTem

Great reaction as always guys! Totally feel you Gabriel, had one of those days myself. Thanks for still doing this even with how you were feeling 💜

itsmekristinem

I really enjoyed watching BV all over again with you guys. Looking forward for more videos!🤍 and to Gabriel, we appreciate you leaving that note, being honest and just being there. We all have our not-so-good and tiring days. We appreciate all your hard work to put up these videos. We love all of you!🤍🤍🤍

Jagorrn

Don’t worry Gabriel. After a long day at work I just want to go to bed so reacting after is amazing.

j

I’m talking about 15-20 years ago when they were kids! Don’t forget South Korea was an impoverished country not long ago! I first visited SK a few years after the 1997 IMF Asian Financial Crisis (SK was declared bankrupt) and encountered economic protestors on the streets with police firing tear gas at them! SK farmers also came to protest in Hong Kong (where I live) around that period since the WTO summit was held in HK. If you’ve studied history, you would know SK citizens were forced to sell all their gold during this time by their government. Needless to say, things have changed now since the middle class have expanded exponentially in most SE Asian countries. Even in HK (where 1 in 7 people are millionaires), it was uncommon for kids to study overseas a few decades ago unless they come from wealthy families (my siblings and I all studied in England) but nowadays most middle class send their kids overseas to study. Naturally, things are different with poor SE Asian countries teaching English now but it was a different story a couple of decades ago! We have over 300,000 domestic helpers in HK so I'm aquainted with poor SE countries. I’ve also travelled to over 30 countries all over the world and holidayed multiple times in S. Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand etc… from an early age. My son has visited Japan 8 times by the time he was 10 years old.

j

Yes, I forgot Jin went to OZ not NZ! :D

AR Escoe

Of the BTS managers Sejin is the easiest to spot. Here is a fairly short video compilation of him, sometimes in the background. https://youtu.be/mO1o3gNMUGY From the letter he wrote during this episode he is a special person and they all have great affection for him. I’m not 100% sure but I heard he was promoted at Hybe and sometimes manages another junior Hybe group.

j

Yeah, we can all relate to being “zombiefied” after a stressful day! x

Lane. L.

In this episode, we saw the special relationship BTS has with their Chairman, Bang PD-nim as well as with their staff. Once you have time, there are a lot of videos showing their interaction. I highly suggest you watch. It's so heartwarming. 💜 I can totally relate to Gabriel after a draining day. Watching BTS' music and content has become my way of dead-stressing. 💜💜💜💜💜

ARMYnotArmy

Recently joined, and I mostly just lurk, but wanted to provide some answers / clarifications to things- Manager Sejin has been with them since- as they mention here- 2014, when they were doing boy in luv. Sejin was a replacement for another manager who was fired (it was a whole messy thing, but the short of it, he started to lose his temper with JK, Jin saw, and reported him. ARMY also reported him after Jin had already done so. The guy was fired and Sejin was hired on). Sejin was great from the start and he was their main manager, they had at the time 3 others who are still with them, one of them now is the main manager for the guys since late 2018 when Sejin got promoted to Head of Management- Basically his job now is to screen any applying for manager positions with new and upcoming groups, he also is the head of the team who trains and places these managers with their respective groups. He has a lot more he's doing but he still has time for the guys whenever they need/want to hang out with him. He's not a manager anymore but as ARMYs have said, he'll always be BTS's best manager. He really took good care of the members and he cares for them, if he didn't he wouldn't still spend time with them whenever they can spare the time/whenever he has time. Can't wait for the last episode, and season 2. They do get better at traveling and it's always fun to see them have a good time. The "where would Namjoon have slept if he had been able to stay?"- Most likely he would have had to share with Tae. But because HopeKookJin took it upon themselves to sleep in the top bed, Tae got a bed to himself, and arguably the most room since Jimin and Yoongi had to put up with the bunks. Another tid-bit. In the letters to bangtan, the editor notes that Bang PD and Sejin name them from oldest to youngest- but they put Namjoon before J-Hope- Pre 2017, this confused the newer ARMYs, so many thought Namjoon was older than Hobi. From 2018 till now New ARMYs usually either get confused or think it's a mistake by the editor. It isn't though. This is a joke/tease that isn't usually talked about anymore. But ARMY from pre-debut to 2014 will most likely understand it. BangPD had said in the early days that to him, Namjoon was older. Hobi seemed closer to a teenager like V and Jimin's age, Namjoon seem closer to Yoongi's age to him. He admitted he forgot J-hope was born the same year as Namjoon. ARMYs used to get a kick out of it cause it was very much like BangPD. Who... also forgot Tae's name just before debut.... even though Tae had been a trainee since last half of 2011. Bang Si-Hyuk is only human, and he's said sorry for these things, but doesn't mean if the opportunity presents itself, he won't tease them about these things still. Just like the guys can't ever stop teasing Bang PD. Thanks for the reaction. Looking forward to more.💜💜💜

LSD_02

The end with the letters made me tear up! This was my first time watching bon voyage season 1 so I wasn't expecting this.

Julie

Don’t worry Gabriel 💜

Lizzy's Mom

He said in the letter that the day they released an album that they were solely responsible for, he would become their hyung. He is a man of his word! I got chills when I rewatched this after BE came out. Everything he said came true!

korgi

Gabriel please no need to apologize, we understand. work is very exhausting sometimes so don't worry about it :) your presence is enough to show you care, it would've been okay even if you decided not to participate in the video at all, remember to take care of yourself. Thank you for letting us know. we hope you feel better and that your job gets a little easier

ria

hope all is well Gabriel we all have those days, don't worry about it

Rae Avilez

I love this episode so much. It is one of my comfort epis, whenever I am feeling down. BangPDnim is an amazing person and armys are forever grateful that he found all of our wonderful members for his group. I love that man so much! He is my ult-bias. Without him I wouldn't have any of my groups to keep me sane. You will see Sejin in a lot of older vids with BTS. He is really tall! He kinds of stands out lol. I still see him around sometimes with one of the junior groups, Enhypen. He had to pitch in for a bit when their manager changed. I don't rember why though. They finally did create their own album from start to finish, the very healing album BE. I can't wait until you guys react to it. And I just notice when Summer brought it up that not only is the Most Beautiful Moment mentioned, but so is Yet to Come. One of my favorite things about BTS is everything is connect some how, some way. Thanks for hanging in there Gabriel. I hope you feel better and get some breathing room soon.

Jasmin V

"Where is everybody?" was really funny to me because Finland is literally so small (population is 5,5 million) and Rovanniemi is in the north which is very sparsely populated :D BTS came back here in 2019 for a Season's Greetings shoot and they all said they liked it because it's so quiet and calm here :P

Jasmin V

And sauna is actually a Finnish word, since the sauna comes from Finland and is a huge part of our culture :)

j

Yeah, I’ve been to Helsinki & it’s the quietest capital I’ve visited! :D

Jasmin V

And Helsinki is definitely the biggest and busiest of all the cities here :D

j

Wow, I didn’t know this! :D

j

We still enjoyed Helsinki with their friendly people x :D

Anxious Em

Tae and Jimin roleplaying on the bikes sends me every time. I love when they go off in their own RP world haha

I am Vixen

They've become pro at travelling by Season 4 😊

I am Vixen

Agree. I think it's more like they're not confident speaking in English.

Agnieszka

We love you Gabriel don’t worry 💜💜 we understand

Armystic

3 6 9 is a game they play with different combinations like 157 or something and basically they count 12345578 and so on with each saying a number… but if you have to say a number with a 3, 6 or 9 then you have to clap instead of saying you’re number…. If you have two of the numbers then you clap twice … like 33 or 36 and so on and if someone messes up they lose

Mimi

lots of love Gabriel! Thanks for even coming and doing the reaction in general! Please rest up!

Mumbejja

Song name is Coffee

Megan

Are you guys watching the Behind the Scenes on your own time? If you aren't, it might be funs to watch those first before moving on to the second season. They're a lot shorter than the actual episodes, so you could probably finish them off in a few weeks if you do more than 1 at a time. And it's extra footage that I think you'd like, a lot of iconic moments happened there.

IDEA Girl

Here is something new that I didn't know or understand about their culture that is normal for them. They feed each other. To this day..to share food they feed each other. Also, it's no big deal for them to hold hands or link arms. Both women with women do it too. I still can't believe after 3 years together they still get along, cooperate, are courteous, patient, teasing, loving, complimentary towards each other, and play together so well. We know they have their fights and things they have to work out off camera, but still 7 guys together 24 x 7. That's a lot for anyone. I grew up the oldest of 4 sisters. And I needed me time and alone time a lot! They seem fine without it. Once they got rich and were on tour they finally got their own bedrooms/hotel rooms. But you will see for most of their journey they are all sharing rooms and beds.

Sephelah Joseph

Gabriel is like when Jhope is drunk. Joke aside, I appreciate you spent time watching this episode. Now, time to rest. It's always fun watching you guys.

Mint Wolf

Love watching these again after so long. Can’t wait for you guys to reach to burn the stage or their docuseries! It’s crazy what they go through touring.

earlene torres

I especially loved this episode because of the letters from Bang Si-Hyuk and Sejin. Manager Sejin is just as beloved by Army because he is very protective and sincere towards all the boys that we feel they are safe under his wing. Anyone could have taken advantage of the boys' sweet and good nature and abused their authority, but thankfully, Sejin isn't like that. PD Bang is an excellent judge of character and as you see here the proof of his wisdom. #BangPD #BorahaeBigHit 💜😘🤟

TSO 아포방포

As mentioned above, the PDA the guys show each other is very wholesome and more a part of their culture than here in the west. We as Army love every single loving and cute interaction these brothers have!! From cutting up to piggy back rides and even holding hands like best friends. The original rappers aren’t quite as open to PDA, but you do see it, and there is never any question of their love for the others. 💜

Seneca

Love you guys' reactions! Also– It's not that "sauna" is a universal word– it's Konglish! Koreans adapted/incorporated a LOT of English words into Korean language, using Korean pronunciation to make it sound "korean".

Liz

That's not a spoiler. They literally talked about going to the Santa Village in episode 6.

Liz

You know, it's funny. The disclaimer said Gabriel was super tired and didn't really look into the episode, but I disagree. Even though he was exhausted and not laughing out loud, his little smiles at certain moments show he was just as into the episode as every one else, he just wasn't vocal about it. 💜 💜 Also yes. That is the famous Jimin Save Me dance lmao. They clown Jimin for that even to this day.

Hannah Bridges

You know, Knowing that Tae is essentially allergic to high heat, whenever I see him in hot places like saunas I always just wonder how he manages. Like he always does and I can't SEE any hives. I'd bet he brought allergy meds. Since the summer is really hot anyway it's probably in all his bags lmao. I know people with animal dander allergies that take allergy meds so they can pet strays and I feel that in my soul 😂

Tarmill

Correction! Sauna is actually a finnish word (sauna is a finnish inventiont) so it wouldn't be konglish😅

Tarmill

It warms my heart to see bts appreciate the finnish nature and scenery. Finland's summer and nature is truly beautiful and calming. The midnight sun during summer is also magical😊💜

juro

Guys Sauna is a finnish word, the whole thing was literally invented there 😭
