Lucidity slowly returned to me in my Equestria dreamscape. Along with my increasing consciousness was a slowly growing symphony of aches, pains, and soreness. There constant nagging made it impossible to return again to sleep. Besides I needed to pee big time.

As my wakefulness grew I also realized that I was the only occupant of the bed. Slowly I opened my eyes and looked around the room. Squinting across the room my sleep bleary eyes eventually focused on the hanging pendulum clock. Apparently it was 7:30 in the morning and Petina, Carousel and the, um, uh the bat pony. What was her name? Sundown! Yes that was it. Link Where had they all gone?

Gingerly I rolled out of bed and made my way to the bathroom. Fortunately the bathroom was unoccupied, so eliminated the possibility that Petina and Carousel had passed out in it. I had a minor headache but upon looking in the full length bathroom mirror I discovered the source of my overall bodily discomfort. My body was festooned with numerous bite marks.

As I continued to examine myself in the mirror the memories of last night came flooding back. Sundown had been lots of wild fun. However, at the same time she'd been like some wild animal at times. The bite marks on my body were all the proof I needed. After taking care of business and chewing on a few bitter Foalsmane leaves I conducted a more thorough search of our suite. This search produced none of my missing housemates. Determining they weren't there I took a quick shower. After  a quick grooming and preening I headed out to find the mares.

I found them down in one of the quiet, dimly lit side bars. They were sitting side-by-side with their chins resting on the cool marble of the bar top. In front of them were these large glasses full of some type of hangover cure along with a plate of uneaten snacks. Somepony, I assumed it wasn't Petina and Carousel based on their current physical condition, had linked several straws together so they could drink from their cups without lifting their heads. Neither of them acknowledged my presence as I sauntered up to them.

"Morning ladies." I said, as I arrived at the bar. “How are you 2 doing this fine morning?"

Carousel made a small, plaintive whimper. After a few seconds Petina grumbled. "I've been better. I've had it worst. Go away."

     "I hurt." Whined Carousel.

I looked at the earth pony and sighed. "Sorry dear. You 2 had a wild time last night, but now the price must be paid."

"Please don't breathe so loudly." Whimpered Carousel.

"Anything I can get you 2?"

"A fresh change of blood." Grumbled Petina.

"A quick merciful death." Pleaded Carousel.

I gently patted the palomino mare on the back with my left wing which resulted in a sad little squeal from her. Then I left them to recover as went to get my own breakfast.

To be continued.

I'm honestly surprised they don't know how to prevent hangovers. Unless they actually enjoy waking up like this?

BaronEngel

They do, but they forgot to take those precautions. Primarily because they were drunk out of their gourds.

Jeez, Sundown went to town on you! I mean, a hicky is one thing...

Ben Berlin

I'd be a little worried if I were you...Sundown's biteyness might be indicative of a very passionate/violent personality. If it didn't hurt her too much, I want to give Carousel a big (gentle) hug the poor dear.

"Sundown, you better take care If I find you been creeping 'round my back stairs"

Peruserofpieces

I can’t help but chuckle at poor Carousel’s face, but I also want to give her a big warm hug. You all deserve hugs.

BaronEngel

If you do give her a hug make it a very gentle, quiet hug. Because right now she can hear the grass growing.

Sky Brush discovered that Sundown get rather animalistic when the carnal desires kick in.

So. who mixed up the "Hair of the dog" for the girls????? liked the straws. 'Axe

I'm guessing hangovers are one of the few things unicorns can magic their way out of (even though I'm sure Petina dearly wishes she could right about now).
