Golden light from Celestia's great orb peeked through the curtains and spilled across the bed I was lying in, as the morning greeted me in my Equestria dreamscape. The covers were almost pulled up over my head and all I could see of Rainbow Dash was a few tuffs of her prismatic mane which poked out from under the Wonderbolt comforter a foot or so away from me.

Dash had her back to me. From her slow rhythmic breathing and occasional snore it was pretty clear that she was still asleep. I slowly crawled out of bed and took care of business in the bathroom then returned to bed. As I slipped back into bed RD slowly rolled over and opened two very sleepy eyes.

“Morning Dash.” I said as I snuggled up against her. “How are we today?”

She yawned and gave me goofy little smile. “Mmm, I'm doing fine. How are you?”

I returned the smile a gently ran a hoof through her mane. “Slept well. Did you?”

“Ya, slept like a foal” She said while stretching a front leg and then flopping it across the barrel of my chest.

“Do you want some breakfast we could...” My comment was cut short by RD suddenly pulling me close against her. Then she looked me in the eyes.

“I promised Petina I'd have you back noon. It's not even 9, so I have no immediate plans of getting out of this bed and I will stop you from doing the same!”

“So, you're in favor of sleeping in?” I said.

Dash giggled. “No I said wasn't getting out of bed.” Then she grinned. “I said nothing about sleeping.”

Having completed our morning bedroom calisthenics, we just laid there silently in each others embrace and warmth. However the silence of the moment was punctured by the sound of Dash's stomach growling soon followed by my stomach expressing its displeasure at being empty. We looked at each other and giggled.    “Well I don't know about your stomach, but mine is in need of refilling. So what do you say Dash. Breakfast at the cottage?”

“Yeah I guess we should Brick.”  She closed her purple eyes and gave me another rib-creaking hug. “But we so need to do this again. Soon.”
Then in one, smooth motion RD rolled out of bed. She tossed her prismatic mane to get the worse of it out of her eyes. “I claim first dibs on the shower!” Then she rose into the air and tore out of the room. Soon after there was the sound of the toilet flushing and shower being turned on. 30 minutes later she came trotting back into the room.

  “Okay shower is all yours!”

“Hope you saved me some hot water.”

Dash looked out from under the towel she was using to dry her mane and head. “Yeah there's plenty. The house has static electricity flash heater that heats the water just fine. Just don't stay too long in there. The cistern isn't that big. Fortunately it'll get filled Monday morning.

An hour or so later I had showered and we'd gotten ourselves groomed and preened to the point of being presentable. I decided to leave my jacket, shirt and cravat behind at Dash's place. I could pick them up later. Slipping my neck satchel on I step outside with Dash, and then we launched ourselves into the late morning sky. It was a glorious Sunday and few minutes later Dash and I were turning into the wind to make our landing at the cottage.

Petina and Carousel were out back behind the cottage. Petina was enjoying the sun while organizing the notes for her next story, and Carousel was merrily working away in the garden. They both looked up and smiled our way as we trotted over.

Petina levitated a pocket watch from her purse. She stared at it and then smiled at Dash. “Well I did say have him back by noon and it is only 11:30. So how did the night go?”

Dash's face lit up. “It was awesome!”    The unicorn grinned at the pegasus. “So Brick held up his end bargain?”

  “Yeah he did just fine!”

About this time RD's stomach let loose another round of growling protest. Petina peered over the top of her sunglasses and raised an eyebrow. “Let me guess. You two haven't eaten yet?”

I nodded my head. “Yeah I thought maybe we could have some of that raisin swirl bread we baked up the day before.”

“Not a bad idea.” Said Carousel. “Unfortunately Petina and I kind of plowed through it last night and this morning, and we haven't had a chance to go into town for groceries.”

“I've got an idea!” Exclaimed Petina. “Brick you don't fly into town and grab a dozen or so donuts from Sugar Cube Corner, and while your gone we'll get the coffee started on the stovetop!”

“Why do I have to go?”

“Because it is the proper thing to do!” Said Petina in a very prim fashion.

“Because I want to talk with the mares Brick.” Said Rainbow Dash.

“Because I am going to ask you nicely and say please. Would you please go get them.” Said Carousel with an adorable voice and big, soft brown eyes.

Damn it! I hate when she gives me those eyes.

“Okay fine. I'll go get some.” I pointed a front hoof at Petina. “But I'm going to get paid back by you.”

So with no further ado I took off on my errand. As I vanished out of sight Petina and Carousel sauntered over to RD.

“Sooooo.” Said Petina. “Obviously you found Brick company very pleasant last night. Do you think this means you're only interested in stallions?”

“Oh stallions are great!” RD grinned, but then her wings drooped a little. “But if I like stallions why do I get so aroused when you two dance or when Carousel takes her harness off?”

Carousel smiled and gently nuzzled Dash's neck. RD's wings were suddenly not drooping as much. “Maybe it's because you like mares to.” She said. “Perhaps your bi?”

  “Bi? What's this bi thing?”

Petina grinned and started slowly nuzzling the other side of RD's neck. “It means you might be bisexual. You enjoy grazing on both sides of the fence.”

Dash looked confused. “Well how do we find out if that's the case?”

Carousel and Petina just stared at Rainbow Dash until the light dawned on her. Dash's wings were definitely not drooping anymore.

  “Oh!”

Fortunately flying into Ponyville from our cottage only takes a few minutes. So 5 minutes later I was standing line at Sugar Cube Corner. Sunday is always a busy time for the Cakes and Pinkie. At least they make lots of donuts and pastries on Sunday so even latecomers like me have a variety to purchase.

However between waiting for my turn and ponies asking me how last night went it still took about 45 minutes before I walking back up to the front door of our cottage. Wiping my hoofs on the door mat I went inside.

I figured I'd blitzed by hungry mares wanting donuts. Much to my surprise the living room and kitchen were empty. I set the donuts on the dining room table and went in search of the other occupants. There was a pot of coffee burbling away on the stovetop, but where were the mares?

Then I heard sounds coming from the main bedroom. Sounds I am now very familiar with. Although one of them was a recent addition to my sound library. Let's just say that RD saying Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! has different connotations in my dreamscape now. With my right front hoof I pushed the bedroom room open.

There spread across are bed was three mares and various mare-tial aids. Yeah it looked Petina and Carousel had introduced RD to the contents of Toy Box #2. Then Carousel saw me.

“Yeah! The stallion is back!” Before I could reply Petina had grabbed me with her levitation and dragged me into the room with a mighty yank.

  So much for breakfast.

 To be continued.

Seems the mares found something sweeter than donuts!

So I guess it's true that in Equestria you CAN do anything as long as you don't scare the horses!

Luckily for Brick, equines have a rather accommodating refractory period. I'm sure the mares appreciate it.

Ah, Petina. Her philosophy must be, "If it isn't given, take it."
