Rainbow Dash and I looked around at the nightlife in my Equestria dreamscape. It was Saturday night in Ponyville which is not the hotbed of activity, but there were still a fair number of ponies going about their way.

“So Dash what would you like to do? Shall we get a drink at the Bucking Mare?”

“Nah! Um, if you want a drink I've got some stuff at my place. So, uh would you like to, oh, ah, go back there?”

I smiled, bowed my head and made sweeping gesture with one wing. “I'm your wingpony. Lead the way!”

Even in the dim light I saw the Dash blush slightly, but she giggled. “Very well then Brick. Follow me!”

It was a beautiful evening to be flying. Not too cool with a fairly full moon to light the way. Long wisps of cirrus clouds stretched across the vaults of heaven like Luna's flowing mane. They provided a pleasant contrast to the star sparkling in the deep Prussian blue nighttime sky.

A few minutes later we found ourselves landing at Dash's cloud home which looked like a cross between a Greco-Roman temple and a Las Pegasus stage show prop. I could see that Dash still hadn't fixed the one broken rainbow generator but she'd obviously had done some cleaning up recently.

This was even more apparent upon entering her home. The walls were still encrusted with Wonderbolt memorabilia, but the last time I'd visited RD's place it had looked like she was keeping a tornado as a pet. While Rarity would've undoubtedly have found some things amiss, I considered it definite improvement. Heck you could see the floor.

Dash dropped her small neck satchel/purse on a small divan and then turned on a couple of the lights in the living room. With that accomplished she trotted into the kitchen. I could hear assorted clinking of bottles, opening of cupboards, and clattering or glassware; a minute or so later she trotted back into living room carrying a small tray with a bottle and couple of tumbler glasses in her teeth. She set the bottle on a small table and giggled.

“This is gift from Granny Smith of all ponies! She gave it to me a day or so when I dropped by AJ's apple stand. She said it would be handy for tonight. Care to have some of Sweet Apple Acres finest?” RD picked up the bottle with her front hoofs. It was a bottle of applejack.

I laughed softly and nodded my head. “Sure, I'll take a glass please!”

Dash poured us a couple of glasses and then she settled down next to me on the divan. We clinked our glasses in an impromptu cheer then took a sip of the apple liquor. Closing my eyes I let the warmth from the applejack spread across my tongue and then down my throat as I swallowed. We made small talk for the next few minutes as we enjoyed our drinks.

Dash topped off our glasses. Then she looked at herself in mirror across the room. The brief flight hadn't undone all of the grooming to our manes but it had suitable frumpled Dash's coiffure and it was starting to bug RD.

“Ugh! I really wasn't fond with how Rarity insisted on grooming my mane, and now I'm going to do something about it!”

Getting back on her hoofs she trotted out of the room. a few seconds later she returned with a brush and began brushing her mane back to its normal shape. However she was having little success with her neck which is often a tricky part for a pony to groom. After watching her struggle with it for a few seconds I set my tumbler down.

“Dash, give me that brush. It'll be easier if I do that for you!” After some protesting about being able to do it herself I succeeded in wrenching the brush out of her right hoof.

It took a few minutes to get back into shape but eventually I got RD's mane back into its normal shape. Then without even thinking I started brushing her exposed back. This resulted in a series of increasingly happy pony noises from the prismatic mane mare.

Quite suddenly RD turned around and wrapped her front hoofs around my neck as she snuggled up against my chest. I paused in my brushing but then resumed and was rewarded with contented sounds from the Element of Loyalty.

“Hmm. It seems to me that some pony enjoys this. Would that be correct?”

“Shut up and keep brushing!” Growled the mare. “Oh right there!” As she suddenly gave me a big hug. I wrapped my free front leg around her and returned the hug as I continued brushing. After a few more minutes I set the brush down and began stroking her back with my right front hoof. Softly stroking my hoof over her velveteen coat. In low light her light cerulean blue coat shimmered like anodized aluminum.

This continued for the next few minutes neither of us saying word. We just sat there and enjoyed the presence of each other. I closed my eyes and just relished the warmth of her body as I breathed in the scent of pony, lavender scented mane care products, and the always present smell of Dash's favorite muscle balm Lightning Wing.

As I gently stroke her back, Dash nuzzled against me neck. Softly I spoke into her ear.

“I am so lucky to have met you Dash. I am thrilled to have you in my life, and to be with you tonight.

The mare murmured into my neck. “And some mare is very happy to be with you tonight!”

As the tip of her left ear brushed against my mouth, I reached out and started to gently nibble on it. This resulted in soft nickering from her and she squeezed me until my ribs creaked. Finally she relented enough that I could speak again.

“So what do you want to do now?”

Dash raised her head and looked me in the eyes. Her face was flushed but her stare was steady. For several seconds she said nothing, she just stared at me with hungry eyes. Finally soft, but intense voice she spoke.

“I want you. I want you as my stallion. I want to fly close to you tonight!”

I smiled laid back on the divan pulling her along with me. We stared at each other for a moment and then we kissed.

On a cloud floating near Dash's home a shadowy figure peered at a window with a spy glass. It watched for several minutes, then it lowered the device and nodded its head. Collapsing the telescope it stowed it in a pannier pouch. Then the figure spread its wings. Launched itself into the nighttime sky and headed toward Canterlot.

To be continued.

Something is going to bump in the night. I hope it's the good kind.

Let's just say after this dream I can not hear RD on TV say "Oh my gosh! Oh my Gosh" the same way anymore.

I'm assuming she enjoyed herself.
