Sorry if I've not been posting much over the last few days. I will be posting dreamscape stuff next week. However, after two back-to-back conventions, getting a nasty case of Con Crud and then accidentally giving it to my wife, I seriously needed to knuckle down and get some work in on my commission docket finished. Which I did. These are some study sketches for one of those commissions. Also I realized that I had not posted any aviation art in a while.

The Northrop T-38 Talon Wikipedia is a supersonic advanced trainer that first flew in 1959 and has been used by not only the USAF but several other air forces around the world. It has been estimated that up to 50,000 military pilots have trained in them. Not has it been a prolific trainer but it has held several time to altitude records beating out even some military interceptors like F-104 Starfighter.

The T-38 is in many ways a very simple, clean design. However those simple clean lines mean that if you get them wrong your drawing stops looking like T-38 really quick! Especially around the nose and cockpit, so I usually do I did a couple sketches today to get more familiar with the design.

Fighter version was the F20 Tigershark. Primarily interceptor but adaptable to light bomb loads. Japan used them for years as their home defense. Still used as trainers and Red Flag Top Gun adversary fighters. Nice rendition of her. I had that crud too. Been fighting bronchitis for about two weeks. Finally clearing up. Glad you're better and I send good vibes for Smudge to get better.
