If I am about to start on a finished color piece and if it involves a character, location, critter, effect, or piece of technology I've not drawn before I consider it prudent to do a few study sketches/drawings first. This is an example of some of those drawings.

A stalled project that I want to get back to in 2016 is a series of MLP pictures that will go under the umbrella title of John Canter of Mares Series . One of those pieces will be the Unicorn Princess of Mares.

That piece will involve Rarity and Spike in his big form the episode The Secret of My Excess. Well I figured if I was going to be doing some study sketches I might as well combine them into one unified piece of art. This piece will be either in the Further Confusion 2016 art show or the Babscon 2016 art show.
