Oh well nuts! I thought I'd posted this image ages ago! But recently rummaging through my image archive for a client I came across this set of sketches. Oh well, no time like the present to fix something! These are concept sketches I did after the battle with the Deception at Sweet Apple Acres It ends right here. Right now pt.1 had occurred in my Equestria dreamscape. Also a month or so later I had another dream where I got to examine the weapons in greater detail. Firearms are not unknown in Equestria but they are not as prevalent as they are human society also the development has proceed at a much more leisurely pace. Although events of the last few years have spurred a bit more research in the field. Now like many concepts the first generation shows possibility but also shows need for further rethinking and refining. As the post says this is a weapon design specifically for fliers; attempts to use the design with earth ponies and unicorns have been much less successful with a couple of truly horrendous accidents. Still many ponies are looking at this as a concept that could have great potential for the nation.
