Random mecha designs 01 (Patreon)

A couple days ago I realized I had not done any mecha designs in ages. So yesterday I broke out my sketchbook and brainstormed up a couple of possible designs. I had no particular setting in mind I just wanted to play with a couple ideas. The top design I envisioned as something akin to a scout/ light attack helicopter that would recon the battlefield looking for enemy forces then it would bug out and let the heavier stuff play. It is armed but this primarily for self-defense reasons. The bottom design was me mashing up High Gothic German armor from 15th Century Europe, with elements from Evangelion. I thought the long, multi segmented design of German armor from that period might mesh nicely with lanky quality of the Evas.
