So! I mostly drew new area objects this month, so this is going to be a pretty short devlog since I don't want to reveal any of that. However I say mostly, because right after I was done with one of these new areas, my tablet basially stopped working, and I had to get a new one. It was a good run, I think my old tablet was a bit over 5 years old now. The new one is good, but since I was unable to draw for a few days, I decided to improve some code here and there and ended making some changes I'm very happy with (mostly menu related):

- Updated the map menu, oyon color availability is now shown for the selected map.

- Removed the instruction bar at the bottom of the screen for some menus, and replaced it with an instruction button. This allows me to explain things better since I have more space to do so, and unclutters the screen a bit as well.

- Combometer has been improved a bit.

- Character selection in the spellcard menu, prebattle menu and chara select menu has been improved and is easier to understand.

- Several controls in menus have been improved, the main change being that the drag & drop stuff is now done with the right click in menus instead of the left click, to better reflect the overworld controls.

- Shop/Storage UI has been improved and is easier to understand, you can now take/deposit/buy/sell by dropping the relevant item on the clerk instead of on the bug bag (of course, middle click still works as well)

- Magi, shard and orb numbers are now shown in the amplification menu.

- Combo spells don't reset your combo anymore during a fight. Instead, combo spells will become unavailable after you've used one until your combo is reset. Also, reaching 110 combo will reset the combo spell availability, and your combo spells will cycle in order again until 210, and then 310, and so on. You'll basically get one combo spell loop every 100 combos.

- Fixed a bunch of minor bugs and added a few minor improvements left and right.

So yeah, that's it! The funny thing is that these changes take the most space in text form, even though they're what took the least time. I'm still working on area objects and by the looks of it it will take me at least this month and the next one to finish. to list what's left to do after that:

- Draw all chibis

- Draw new collectables

- Draw new shapes

- Draw a few new characters

- Implement everything

- Create the rooms

- Implement the new music and SFX once they're done

- Create the story scenes

- Create the shape waves and balance everything

- Write the dialogue

- Maybe more stuff I can't think about

So yeah, I'll be busy. Some of these won't take as long as others of course, but this is why I prefer not to draw any new poll girls until the demo is done, I think that's understandable. As I said before I want the demo to come out in 2021 but it's probably a good idea not to expect it before october, more or less. Games really do take a while to develop... So I'l make sure it's worth the wait.

I'm truly realizing now the absurdity of the scale of BEW as a mostly solo project, but I'll just keep working towards the end goal one step at a time, until it's done.

And that's all I have for now.

Here is the copy pasted stuff:

The next monstergirl poll has begun! You can now vote for the monstergirl you want to be included in BE Witches in the Discord if you are a 2$+ patron!

The poll will be active until April 12th. After this, you will be able to change your submitted modifier until April 15th. Finally, the two rounds of the modifier poll will take one week each.

Also, now is a good time to submit a monstergirl and/or modifiers if you haven't already as a patron! If you can't think of anything to submit, here is a list of ideas you can choose from. You don't have to submit in the Discord server, you can also leave a comment here or e-mail me at Nosebecc@gmail.com

If you need help software-wise, I'm competent in C, C++ and python, and can get around in other languages and would be more then up to helping. Let me know.

Oh thank you, I appreciate it ^^ I'll be working on graphical assets for quite a while though, and to be honest I think I'll prefer to work on the code by myself once the time comes to do so. Still, thank you very much for offering!

Heh, I'd be more then useless for actual art design. Anyways, let me know if you want a hand. This wouldn't be the first adult game I've helped with (I was pretty involved in the Fenoxo/Corruption-of-Champions stuff a few years back, though I've been idle recently).

Sure, thank you again for the offer! It's as I said, but I'll keep it in mind still ^^
