Man, I love every aspect of this anime, from the story and characters to the animation and soundtrack, it's just perfect. Considering that the story is told through small flashbacks and that it is slow paced, it is a story that is told in parts so you get to know details but it is not until later that you put them all together and get an accurate overview of everything (I love that too haha) for example in this episode Haisen said (in a flashback) that his favourite food was grapes, the more sour the better, and in the previous episode Fern mentioned some of the spells that Frieren had added to her collection while they were travelling and among them the spell to turn sweet grapes into sour ones. Qual also said admiringly: "So you can fly? Interesting" not that it's a big deal but it will be an interesting detail to keep in mind later on. Great reaction.
