Dear Patrons

Here's the podcast companion to our latest Honest Government Ad; and my guest is the former Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull. Cool and normal.

Juice Podcast 13 | with Malcolm Turnbull

It's my first ever interview with a politician, let alone a former PM. So I hope I did it justice. My main aim was to try not to get caught up too much on the past but to focus more on solutions and the future.

I had to of course ask him the most pressing question - are the Honest  Government Ads *genuine* satire? - to put to bed years of doubt ever  since Attorney General Brandis refused to answer this question in the  Senate...

But more importantly, I asked Malcolm about the climate  wars and why no Australian Government has been able to pass *genuine*  climate legislation... and what we can do about it.

I hope you enjoy it. As always, thank you for making this work possible.

Malcolm just came off as a self serving, weak man trying desperately to rehabilitate his image and incapable of admitting his failures and complete capitulation to the extreme right of his party. Hugely disappointing, but well done on the interview.

I guess I see it differently than most people. I think politics is difficult, and although I completely disagree with Malcolm's politics for the main part, at least I think he is trying to engage in a mostly honest conversation here. I'm never going to forgive him for lying about the NBN, however, fighting the extreme right wing nutjobs in his party is what got him kicked.
