I almost have the intro/first scene redone so I can get back to forward progress starting tomorrow. I have convinced myself to just do what I can instead of trying to make everything perfect or else I'll never get anything done. To that end, I'm still making little adjustments along the way, but I'm just trying to keep things as consistent as possible.

I tackled the first scene in a slightly different way this time due to my previous method having some dark results in a certain area. I don't mean like mentally dark, I just mean certain elements I added in looked darker than I wanted them to visually.

To fix that, I ended up photoshopping many of the images to insert the "new technology" that exists (since this is 20 years in the future). I'm not going to add a ton of new tech, but I wanted to do something different with phones to make people having conversations a little more interesting.

So, instead of a physical phone, there's a piece of tech in their wrist that activates when they're making or receiving a call or message:

And then they can create a screen to view the caller on, which also shows what they themselves are broadcasting in a pip window:

People viewing the back of the screen will either see nothing if the call is in "private mode":

Or they will see a flipped image of what is being broadcast minus the pip window if the call is in "public mode":

It's a bit of a pain in the ass to do, but I think it comes off a bit more interesting than just flipping back and forth depending on who's talking. This way I can do a few shots in one location, then switch to the other for a bit, while at the same time having both speakers in the shot.

And that's the end of my "things that aren't that interesting" talk. Make sure to tip the waitstaff.

Anyway, I think that's about all I have for now. I'll be back in a few with the next update!
