Damn Octavia has lost the plot even if they go to war, she burned down an entire farm that could have fed her army to help them win. Madi and Clarke though are a badass duo you can tell Madi learned well from Clarke not wanting to waste the bullet

I always thought the scene was about Madi killing the guy mercilessly now that she "is a commander" and cares about "her" people compared to how she was in the beginning of the *season, willing to give chances. Clarke looked stunned by her action, so I always thought it was because of Madi's actions rather than the bullet, as perhaps Clarke would take the prisoner up on his offer to get them to the camp instead of killing him. It's interesting to see other opinions and views on the scene.
