The path to the Tear of Love may be full of perils and discovery but it also has its safe places, which are known by Drigo who guide the Kremling brothers to one of his hideouts which is safe from monsters and others threats since only him knows about its location.

The duo is surprised to see buildings probably made by people who once habitated this island, and Skurvy asks Drigo if he knows more about them.

The small warrior says that he knows little about these former habitants however he's sure that the strange wildlife and creatures of this island are somehow connected to them since he read lost notes and documents about constant experiments conducted by them in secrecy, telling about of their plans to create new lifeforms for mysterious reasons, which Drigo suspects they could be used for world domination or an even more sinister purpose.

However he points out that the documents said that some unexpected things happened and they had to abandon the project and also the island in a hurry, with one of the reasons being that some of these creatures developed self awareness and conscience, rebelling themselves against their own creators. Indeed he's found such creatures in this island, and that they even started developing civilizations of their own. Thankfully they're mostly peaceful and just want to live their own lives in harmony, and that he could take the duo to one of their locations if they want. Klump says it'd be nice to meet them once they're done visiting the location of the Tear of Love, and Klump agrees with him. Drigo is glad to hear their answer and he promises it's gonna be worth their time.

It starts raining, and the trio goes straight inside the little warrior's hideout to protect themselves from it. They seize the opportunity to take a rest inside it and prepare themselves for the journey ahead. Once it stops raining they'll resume their quest to find the Tear of Love.
