[SFM] Tails' Magic Mishaps #2 - Part 3 (Patreon)

The spellcasting worked, and now Max has became a clawed beast taller than both of his canine companions. He flexes to them showing his newly acquired strength.

Tails is very impressed with the skills of the lagomorph, and touches his chest to see if it's real, which proves to be true, making him even more happy for his magic transformation.

(And yeah, I need to work more on my headhacking skills....)

A flash of light emanates from Max, blinding Sam and Tails who cover their eyes. Once it's over, they look where the lagomorph is to see a muscled creature coming out of the white smoke from the pentagram. Tails hides behind Sam, who stands in front of him and reaches for his massive revolver. He then says:

"- Who's there ? Is that you Max ?", and all he hears are grunts while the mysterious creature clears the smoke around him with his hands. It turns out to be Max, now stronger and taller than before. He looks at the duo with a menacing expression, grunting at them and suddenly he roars at them, which scares them, specially the fox.

However Max laughs at them, while Sam looks at him with a serious expression, saying:

"- Have you had your fun ?"

"- Sure as hell I did.", Max says, still laughing at them.

"- T-that's not funny at all.", Tails says, also looking at him with a serious expression, "- We-we thought you became a beast!"

"- Only suckers would become so, kid.", the lagomorph says, "- And also people who don't read everything carefully, just like what happened to you last time. As you can see, if you pay close attention to whatever you're doing and read everything carefully you'll become a cool sorcerer in no time, and who knows, go pick some ladies for yourself."

"- Max, he's too young for this.", Sam says, "- Besides, you don't even like girls, remember ?"

"- Oh yeah, I don't", Max says, "- Anyway, check out these abs, kid.", and he starts flexing in front of them, showing how strong he became thanks to the spellbook, "- I'd like to see some loser pick on my size now."

"- See, kid ?", Sam says, "- We told you we know we're capable of dealing with sorcery and magic. I hope this has convinced you by now."

"- Well, this surely convinced me.", Tails says, "- I'm now in your hands, detectives. Thanks for helping me out. And please keep this a secret, ok ?"

"- Sure thing, kid.", Sam says, "- Now allow Max to demonstrate how strong he is by lifting a car above his head. Just do it, little buddy."

"- Little buddy ?", Max says, looking at him with a confident expression.

"- I mean, big buddy.", Sam says, "- Just go do it, you knucklehead."

"- Right away, little buddy.", Max says, to which the dog detective answers with an angry groan.
