Don't overwhelm yourself physically (or, more importantly) mentally with the grandness of the task in front of you. That is to misuse mental abstraction. Only solve small problems. Everything small. Even Jesus, the main character from Season 2 of the Bible, basically hung out in Palestine talking to hookers and diseased villagers, one at a time, even though the episode guide says he was omnipotent; he coulda solved big problems on a big scale, but unless they involved fish and bread, popular Mediterranean food, he basically didn't.

More concretely, even Earth's great military powers have always and only ever had finite abilities. They and you must cut your coat according your cloth. You are but one person. You can't even swallow a whole apple or block of cheese without first cutting it, so I don't know what your deal is with trying to overwhelm yourself in fields outside of food -- you'll choke just the same if you do that! You only have two hands, and you need one of them free to scratch your butt. Adjust appropriately.

Big problems are just organisms made up of molecules made up of atoms made up of subatomic particles that are small problems. Only solve small problems, safe in the knowledge that if the problems and solutions are suitably interconnected and interrelated, you will, without even really trying, have solved one or more gigantic problems.
