Brilliant writing! Brilliant cinematography! This film was truly nothing like I expected, but it was genuinely one of the best movies I've seen. If a revenge journey was art.

I first saw this film shortly after I saw The Untouchables, and it was pretty jarring going from that film's portrayal of Frank Nitti as a psychopathic monster to his being a reasonable, milquetoast accountant in this one. Of course, the real guy was probably somewhere between those two extremes.

Michael's actor Tyler Hoechlin is still an actor as an adult, and this wasn't his last comic book character. The second was none other than Superman, in the CW DC shows.
