I return with a new map, the Abandoned Campsite (30x30)! This bad boy has all the features, trees, grass, rocks, you name it, plus a ratty old camp- the story practically writes itself. But seriously, an abandoned camp in the forest is a great way to stretch any travel and maybe even slip in a bit of extra lore for the area. An old diary in one of the tents, rusted weapons left behind with signs of old blood and fur, bags of ore gathered from a nearby mine that was long abandoned.. but no sign of those who collected it? It's a solid foundation for an interesting mystery, perfect for side-stories, or maybe the party was sent to look for those who went missing here, in which case this is potentially the beginning of an arc. Honestly, sounds awesome.

Your alternate variants of this one are Eerie and Sunset! I wanted to make a version that invoked thoughts of zombies or ghosts, and naturally that led me to this kinda hazy blueish green palette which I've called Eerie for past maps. It's just the right look for a camp that secretly still harbors the zombified bodies of its old inhabitants, still laying in their sleeping bags or maybe submerged in the muck of the stream. And then, the old classic, Sunset- one of the most popular variants among my patrons, it's great for dramatic confrontations at sunset but also perfect for impressing or concerning your players by displaying the passage of time. Nothing gets me worrying more than the DM revealing that time is actively passing while we goof around and loot tents..
