Haunted Channel, Adept (Patreon)

Hello again, this week's map is the Haunted Channel (40x40), a nice and simple map that should be plenty versatile for treks through the woods. 

Anyway, I have a stomach bug so I'm writing this during a brief moment of lucidity- how about I make this quick so I can go lay down. Kindly forgive any weird typos and run-on sentences.

1. I made this map after I realized that my schedule was a bit mixed up after Christmas- I didn't give myself enough time to do much. But you know what, I can almost always make a forest map in 2 days time if it's simple enough, so that's what I did. No rock walls to shade/detail, just a nice and wide stream to maneuver across. Simple.

2. Really, just very simple. I found an aerial photograph of a stream just like this, added that little island in the middle, and started drawing the shoreline. The only real bottlenecks were the grass and water details, but those all come quick when watching a clock tick down. 

3. The first 2 steps took place on day 1 of making this map, the next day (yesterday) was everything else. I decided that I would try to make the map a bit more interesting by have some fun with the water's colors, mixing in some oranges and purples like a bruise. It kinda gives the map a sickly feeling, I think.
