This week I made the Jungle Basin (25x25), a fun map for your players to face up against all the fun creatures you typically find in jungles, like dinosaurs or ents. Also, your alternate version of this map is a neat Sunset variant, which I think looks really nice with the waterfall's vibrant blues. Anyway, I hope you like it and don't forget to vote in the poll before Monday!

1. Like I mentioned in the main post for this map, it was requested on the Master patron Discord, where the patron asked for the environment shown in the Lion King during the "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" song. I liked the idea and scrubbed through the song a couple times on YouTube, found that the video feature both a jungely waterfall and a bamboo forest, and eventually settled on the jungle as a better choice since it'll serve better for Tomb of Annihilation players.

2. A couple weeks ago I mentioned in one of these posts that I was getting sick of drawing rock walls, which take a long time to render and need to be carefully done lest they screw up perspective.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way around making this map without a hearty chunk of rock wall, so I drew that part quickly at the start of this week, just to get it over with. After that though, every other piece of this map is business as usual, all assets that I'm comfortable drawing as I listen to Warhammer audiobooks.

3. Now, this map's colors are interesting. I decided early that I wanted to slightly imitate the colors used in the Lion King clip, which were lots of oranges and deep vibrant greens. My first pass featured these colors extremely prominently, but after stepping away and coming back with fresh eyes I decided that it looked very wrong, the colors were way too bold and didn't look right. My next couple attempts mixed the original colors with some more typical ones that I'd usually use in a jungle map, eventually settling on a palette that I think feels similar to the source material.

I know that you don't love working with rock walls, but I just wanted to say that yours look great! Thanks for the maps!
