I'm back once again for another Revisited post! This time I went back to two old(ish) maps and changed them to give them a little more flavor. I do this every month, so check out the 'Revisited' tag at the bottom of this post to see the others, and be sure to visit the original Revisited post and add your suggestions in the comments- I often pick each iteration of these posts from there!

As was requested, I've gone back to the Mining Caves from two weeks ago and added glowing veins of magical ore to the walls. Somewhere along the way I  mentioned how I originally wanted to draw this map with ores visible in the walls, preferably magical-glowing-ore, but I decided against it. I think that the most useful version of this map is without too many features that limit its story capabilities, and adding interesting effects like glowing ore forces DMs to either explain it away or integrate it into their plans. However, I do really like how this kind of map helps me come up with fun story ideas, so I'm confident that there's a place for this type of thing (here!).

Oh also, I've added the glowing ore to the original light and dark versions of the map as well as a new bluer color palette as you can see above, so flip through the files and check out your options!

The other revisited map for this month is the Riverside Ruins and it's a very simple change- the bridge is now whole once again! This one was suggested on Reddit and it seemed like such a no-brainer that I felt like a real dummy for not considering it. Now you can lure your party onto the bridge and dump them 10-15 feet into a stream with a quick map swap which is more an annoyance than anything but won't they feel silly? All you have to do then is spring some archers on them while they don't have cover or let some critters (like snapping turtles, or a personal favorite- giant crayfish) take a couple bites out of them and you've got an encounter cookin', bud.

And that's it for April! I'm very lazy, so make sure to give me your suggestions for May's Revisited posts!

Ooh, really dig the eerie glowing ore. Reminds me of phazon. Definitely gives the mine map more potential use as something thoroughly corrupted or on an alternate plane. And your maps are phenomenal for front-back swaps to handle time of day passing, but I never thought to swap the whole map for a bridge trap! That's great!

Looking forward to using this one in my session 0 tomorrow!
