Hey everyone, I'm back! I hope you all had an excellent holiday and didn't get up to too much trouble over New Years. You can probably guess how mine went as I'm posting this a day later than I usually do.  My map this time is the Forested Canyon (28x40), which barely beat 'Small Flooded Dungeon' in the poll by a single vote! I'm glad it lined up that way for this week, as I don't think I would have had the time to give that tiny wet dungeon the love and care it deserves.

This little canyon was an interesting one to put together, I really wanted to imply that this is a quite deep chasm but not so deep that sunlight couldn't reach the bottom. I'm not sure what kind of encounters I would set up here, but hostile plants are usually a safe bet in any grassy map, which go hand-in-hand with some nasty evil druids. Also, the Adept version this week has an alternate Fall palette, which is reminiscent of my old 'Mountain Checkpoint' map, one of my first which people really seem to enjoy. People have been asking for ages for maps connected to the Checkpoint, so this should scratch that itch somewhat ;)

Next week I'll get to the Small Flooded Dungeon, which should be interesting, but I'll also be posting my December Revisited map (don't think I forgot about it!). I'll be giving the Infested Caves a huge overhaul, dumping a bunch of water into the center of the map while messing with the elevation in a couple ways. My end goal is making that cave a little more palatable for me, as I don't remember it too fondly.

Adepts can find their post here!

Very nice! I wanted to suggest maybe doing a stately ballroom or something like that? Might be kind of an interesting map layout!
