Welcome back, Patrons! I'm back once again with a map, the Cliffside Arena (22x27) from that poll we did long ago. I'm still chugging along down the list, but I'm feeling that maybe we're due for another, so keep an eye out next week for that!

This map is nice and simple, a short climb up a cliff to a fighting pit dramatically placed on the mountainside. It's a bit beat out of shape, but I'm sure the locals love to beat the everloving beans out of each other here. Otherwise, it seems like a solid place for cultists to chuck people in with a giant snake, or maybe it's a pen for a monster a local definitely shouldn't have caged..

*Also, I'll be putting an extra poll next week just for Adepts and Experts where we will vote for which old map I should return to to make a new alternate version of! I'll be including some maps I would like to return to as well as the suggestions I've already received, but let me know in the comments below which maps you would like to see and what you want me to do to it.*

Adepts can find their post here!

The link to 'Cliffside Arena.zip' downloads as an extentionless file named '1'. It still works fine if you put the extension .zip behind it yourself, but I think that's not how you would like it. :)

Well that's a new one! I've reattached the files and it seems to be working now, thanks for letting me know

This looks great! Love how the trail up fits so well on the grid.

Very nice. Definitely going into my next campaign. Why only the next? Because in my current one all the players can fly already so that nice little trail would be completely useless.

The perspective looks really weird on this one. Due to the way you draw the cliff walls, it looks like you change from a slanted to a top-down perspective halfway up the map.

Definitely agree- I do my best to avoid this sort of thing these days for that very reason. A more recent map, the Mountainside Trail, handles it a little better because it doesn't include any manmade setpieces so it looks a little more natural.
