"I haven't been able to tease the least scrap of information out of him," Kalen lamented to the older man striding down the corridor next to him. The man frowned in response, nodding slowly in acknowledgment.

"I have been most persuasive," Kalen continued but the man raised one hand and Kalen fell silent.

"This was not unexpected," the man said, "Let's just have another friendly little chat with him and see if we can't bring him round."

Kalen nodded and the man continued, "What about his partner?"

"Escaped, unfortunately," Kalen responded glumly, "slippery bastard."

The older man nodded, "No matter. We'll reel him in soon enough as well."
