Eric and Dmitri need to go into hiding until the heat's off. They choose a planet that has not been formally contacted and where the native population is a variant of human, like so many other worlds in the galaxy. Posing as college athletes, they didn't know how seriously the natives take school sports here. Ah well, their nemesis was unlikely to ever see their photo-shoot anyway.
