It’s not that there weren’t any other teams, it’s that all of the buildings thought they were at the bottom. So all five buildings were ranked lowest, that’s why they were shocked to see team W and team X again. It’s a bit confusing but yeah there are more players there than just the 25 ( 11 from Nagis team, 11 from the main team and the 3 from the disqualified) from their building. In total there should be 125 players left.

There are actually five buildings in Blue Lock but they were all named building 5 so they'd think they're at the bottom of bottom, there were 5 team z, 5 team y, 5 team x, 5 team w and 5 team v, = 275 players that were remained after the 1st episode when teams were formed, now after the elimination of bottom 3 in all groups only 10 teams remain in total = 110 players + all the top scorers from eliminated teams 15 so there are still 125 players left for the 2nd selection and a lot of unknown characters that we haven't seen yet hope that clears up any confusion

Isagi's direct shot is essentially a one touch volley where you immediately strike the ball when it comes into contact with your foot; normally you would stop the ball's momentum and trap it with your first touch and then position yourself for a shot. Isagi saw that trapping the ball would allow Nagi to block his shot so doing a direct shot without stopping is his signature. It's a hard move to pull off unless you have absolute confidence in your prediction on where the ball is landing to prepare that shot.
