It's Thursday, meaning it's that time again - the call for questions and indeed topics for inclusion in this week's DF Direct Weekly! We'll be discussing the mooted delay of Switch 2 until at least the first quarter of 2025, we'll be dealing with the complete lack of blowback to the Microsoft multi-platform announcements from yesterday and we'll also be tackling the news that the PlayStation Portal has been hacked - opening the door to running Android apps on it like any other device.

There are some other surprises lined up too, but this post is all about you and your input into the show. By virtue of the invitingly empty space below this post, you can send us anything you like - questions for the Q&A section, topics you may like to see covered on the show or else your reactions to some of the news this week.

Let's go and have at it!

Hey DF. Thoughts on the Sora text to video generation that made headlines recently? Rendering unbelievable detail and accurate physics without simulating them. Could this be useful in games in future?

Listening to last weeks discussion about platform exclusivity, I couldn't help but think how much it reminded me of the early days of cinema. Back then the studios often owned the movie theatres themselves, and would compete not just on the films but also the technologies used to show it. In the end it took monopoly laws to break this system up, though with budgets ballooning by that point there were already examples of cross-theatre movies. Perhaps we are just seeing the games industry grow up in a similar way. It brings a tear to your eye really. They grow up so fast. 😭
