John, Rich and Alex return for another Weekly, discussing the potential implications of Xbox going multi-platform on selected titles, what we should - and shouldn't - expect from Horizon Forbidden West on PC and John's surprise gaming purchase. Meanwhile, the team explains why Nvidia's G-Sync Pulsar technology is such a big deal - and the announcement of VRR support for GeForce Now seems set to make the best cloud streaming solution even better still.

Just a quick note: we're still looking into the Capcom DRM story, so this part of the show may or may not be in the public release on Monday. [UPDATE: we have removed the Capcom DRM discussion and will revisit it after clarification and fact checking]

And as always, we'll conclude with the customary additional block of text that points out that if you're new to the DF Supporter Program and want early podcast access to DF Direct Weekly, you should ignore any Patreon links elsewhere and click here for your exclusive feed: https://open.acast.com/public/patreon/fanSubscribe/593963

I also impulse bought the Steamdeck OLED. I already had a Ryzen 5900x + 3080 PC... Anyways I got Wolfenstein 2 running a nearly locked 90fps and it looks incredible. Thats with all settings on High (except shadows on medium) John I also tried Doom 2016 but Doom Eternal runs smoother and looks better on Deck.

I can’t wait to see the PhysX “Retro” video if Alex is able to do it, such a fun time in PC gaming and would enjoy seeing all the games that used it.
