Hi everyone, it's time for the latest call for questions for the show that is - and shall always be - DF Direct Weekly. It's another one of those fallow weeks I like to talk about that somehow we invariably end up spending an hour-and-a-half talking about, but topics on the table include Xbox's preservation and forward compatibility team, the new Star Wars Outlaws story trailer, the end of Dead Space and FSR 3 frame-gen heading to consoles in Immortals of Aveum.

But as always, it would not be DF Direct Weekly without your valued inputs, so please go ahead and add your inputs into the invitingly blank space beneath this post. Questions on anything and everything (not just related to the news) along with topic suggestions are very welcome indeed.

Thanks - as ever - for your contributions to the show! If you've been following DF Clips, you may note that some of the topics you're raising are actually delivering more views than some news story discussion points. The DF community never fails to deliver - many thanks!

Hey DF, seeing that the Star Citizen's 3.23 release will contain the beta version of their Vulkan implementation, would this finally be the time for the team to do a group stream, or is the consensus to wait until Vulkan is "final"? It seems that multi-threading won't be enabled until the following release (likely 3.24). A completely separate question, do you forsee any games in the near future utilizing Nvidia's Neural Radiance Cache (NRC)? If so, could any UE5 based titles utilize the technology? Cyberpunk 2077 has been the primary showcase for Nvidia's Path-tracing related technologies, but major development on that is over.

Hello Richard, Alex, John or Oliver! You all play a lot of games for DF! how do you switch off when playing games in personal time, are you able to disable your analytical eyes? PS. Richard when are you going to unbox your PSVR2?

Hi guys! I've noticed that Microsoft are at it again with Backwards Compatibility and was wondering what are your thoughts on the subject and is their any titles that you might hope to see in the next batch of games? Thanks and keep up the awesome work.

How do we escape from live service Hell? Do we need to start whale hunting?

Hey DF Crew, What do you think of the visual upgrade they are doing for Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Expansion. They’ve added TSCMAA as an option, how effective do you think this is? And how far do you think they can push the visuals in this game engine? Do you predict we can expect another visual upgrade 7 years from now or is the engine reaching its limits?

Hey DF Crew I have another question here. (also I know I’m posting this after the episode has already been recorded but do you look back at these questions for consideration in your follow up episodes?) What are your favourite video game series that have no bad games? And what is a game that you enjoy from a series that generally has bad games. Dark Souls and Tekken come to mind for series that don’t have any bad games (that I’m aware of, I really did enjoy Tekken GBA). And this may be sacrilegious to say but for Sonic, you can bet on the games not being great - Sonic Rush on the DS is my favorite Sonic game.
