Chapter 189: Striking a Stone with an Egg

One strike is enough!

That was the conclusion he reached after observing the distribution of Luo's aura.

An enemy who relies purely on aura and has average physical qualities is not to be feared.

"It's enough indeed, to choose a head-on confrontation!" Bisky nearly cursed out loud as she watched from the side.

Luo was unaware of Bisky's frustration. The distance between them finally closed.

Antomu charged at Luo, his towering body casting a large shadow over Luo.

With hands as large as fans clenched into fists, only slightly smaller than Luo's head, but still enough to shatter his skull or any organ inside his body.

A fist pressed towards Luo's head, at that swift moment, half of his body's aura was concentrated into his fist, a highly advanced Nen technique—Ryu.

A breaking sound filled the air!

The flames in the hall dimmed suddenly.

Luo moved as well.

Facing this punch, he sidestepped to the right and then stepped forward, both hands grasping his sword, swinging it horizontally towards Antomu's midsection, intending to sever Antomu's upper body by leveraging his forward momentum and avoiding the trajectory of the punch.

"Good reaction!"

A thought flashed through Antomu's mind, and he responded accordingly.

Boom!

The stone floor where he stood suddenly shattered!

He unexpectedly performed a low leap, using his substantial body size to evade the horizontal slash, while converting his punch into a grab aimed at Luo's crown.

This response and its quick alteration were too fast, even faster than thought.

Luo's experience was clearly limited, as he struggled to respond to Antomu's rapid change of attack based on experience alone, resorting to crouching sharply to make Antomu's hand miss as it passed over his head.

At that moment, Antomu gave a cold smile.

Luo's crouch caused Antomu to miss, but he performed a perfect somersault in mid-air, and before he had even landed completely, he struck Luo's back with his elbow.

Nearby, Bisky's eyes widened slightly as she realized she had underestimated Antomu's strength—or rather, the strength he displayed in combat.

The response to the change of moves, and his refusal to miss any opportunity for an attack, clearly demonstrated the rich combat experience of a veteran.

This was something Antomu had not shown when he crushed Uncle Li's trio; it was this attack from Luo that forced out Antomu's reaction, making Bisky aware of this fact.

Apparently, Antomu did not underestimate Luo because of the gap in their strength, which is why he avoided that slash, especially since Luo had previously used that same sword to cut through Mark, who had greatly increased his aura.

Not only was there a huge gap in strength, but also in attitude—a lion fights a rabbit with all its might, where was the chance of victory?

"Bang!"

Antomu's elbow struck solidly on Luo's back, sending him spitting blood and flying out as a fast-moving shadow, smashing a pillar and embedding deeply into the wall of the hall before stopping.

With one elbow strike sending Luo flying, Antomu landed, turned back, and looked towards the smoky hall with a slight frown.

Not dead yet.

When his elbow was about to hit Luo's back, he encountered an unexpected resistance, at least reducing the power of the elbow strike by thirty percent.

"Was it the effect of that formidable gentleman?"

Antomu coldly stared at the smoky area on the wall, initially thinking that one elbow strike could finish off Luo, but now it seemed it would only severely injure him, which was fine too. If Luo played dead well enough, Antomu would spare his life.

From the moment Luo attacked without leaving any room for escape, Antomu knew Luo was a novice in combat.

Bisky thought the same.

A lot can be seen from one move. Not only was Luo's combat experience weak, but he also relied too much on aura, as seen from his constant distribution of some aura to his limbs to enhance strength and speed.

If his physical condition was strong enough, even without using aura to enhance, he could still display corresponding speed and strength, allowing him to do more with his aura.

"Aura, technique, physical condition, combat experience, attitude... a complete defeat."

Bisky concluded, deciding to spare Luo's life and not bother with polishing a raw gem; she felt that Luo's use of aura and Nen was his most brilliant aspect.

Thinking this, she prepared to intervene and stop the fight, planning to snatch the gem pendant from Antomu.

In fact, as a martial artist, seeing Antomu's battle-hardened skills made her itch to fight as well.

However, at that moment, before the smoke had cleared, suddenly, a dozen basin-sized stones shot out towards Antomu.

B

isky had just slightly lifted her foot but then retracted it, silently thinking: It seems he's not beaten up badly enough.

"Unaware of what's good for him."

Antomu didn't even dodge; he just stood there and swatted a few times with his hand, smashing several of the incoming stones, the rest flying past him towards the wall behind.

Luo charged out of the smoke, his mouth bloody and his body covered in dust, looking quite ragged.

If it weren't for timely compressing his domain on his back and shifting some aura to the front before breaking the pillar and embedding into the wall, Antomu's elbow could have killed him outright.

Barely using Gyo to reduce the damage, Luo was also clear about Antomu's overwhelming strength!

Yet, even so, he would not back down.

Even if it was striking a stone with an egg, he still harbored the delusion of shattering the stone!

"Just cut it off... even if it's just a hand or a foot, and there's no chance from the front!"

Enduring the severe pain from his back, Luo actively charged towards Antomu.

Seeing Luo not only unafraid but also daring to attack Antomu directly, Bisky didn't know how to judge him anymore.

Doesn't he know the enormity of the sky and the earth?

"Really tired of living."

Antomu snorted coldly, his next move would undoubtedly kill Luo.

Thinking this, he also advanced towards the charging Luo.

The distance between the two rapidly closed.

Suddenly, Luo swung his sword and cut down a stone column, then stretched out his left hand to expand his domain, slicing the fallen column into dozens of pieces, controlling the shattered stone chunks like a shotgun blasting towards Antomu.

At the same time, he followed closely.

If there was a substantial gap in hardware, then he would use Nen and the environment to decide the victor!

Dozens of aura-wrapped stone chunks flew towards Antomu, who moved both hands simultaneously, smashing the stones one by one. For a moment, dust obscured vision.

The aura surging around Antomu was like a lightbulb in the dark, and even with the dust obstructing visibility, Luo could still pinpoint Antomu's location.

Likewise, Antomu could also sense Luo's position, unless Luo knew how to use Zetsu to conceal his aura, but Luo needed aura to enhance his body, making it impossible to use Zetsu effectively during an attack.

"Left side."

Antomu suddenly looked to the left, only to see a continuously spinning ring of aura slicing through the dust towards his neck.

Seeing this, Antomu leaned back to avoid the ring of aura slice.

Luo followed the aura slice, appearing and swinging his sword at Antomu.

The long sword, enveloped in aura, Antomu could even avoid it with his eyes closed, just a side-step was all it took to easily dodge, then he smoothly swatted at Luo's right shoulder.

Luo, as if he had foreseen the future, had already gathered most of his aura on his right shoulder.

A palm struck true!

This was a palm that could have shattered Luo's shoulder and even his heart, but it only managed to send Luo flying.

"That slash?"

Antomu noticed that Luo had pre-gathered aura for defense, rather than hastily assembling it, and immediately felt something was amiss, yet he did not want to miss further opportunities for attack, chasing after the flying Luo.

Regardless of Luo's plans, his strength was overwhelming.
