He really liked her taste in hats.

This whole month has been a bit of a time-off thing for me, sort of. I thought I'd take a week at most and then be right back into it but I found myself getting huge headaches and having a lot of trouble focusing on drawing when I'd open stuff up. I haven't been taking great care of myself and last year, and last month I was waking up and rolling into my computer chair to work on art until I'd pass out all day. Not having left my house in a year is probably not helping.

I decided to beat a game for the first time in several years, exercise a little bit, and got some much more restful sleep. Not exactly exciting patreon artwork but hopefully taking better care of myself results in better output.

nice hat :v

Ngrasta

Even if taking care of yourself doesn't help your productivity, (it probably will) you should do it anyway. :B

Nocturn3

Dude, you need to take better care of yourself. Sleep, dont stay up if you dont feel the need to, go out with wondork for some fresh air on occassion. If Durg sex with HATS ON doesn't get your juices going, you really need to bone up on your self TLC!

:( I’m sorry about the headaches. I seriously love this piece btw! Oh and Wat game was it that you beat?

DjLumi

ah man, I really hope you can feel better soon Wat! Take care of yourself ok? ^v^

Maku

Nothing like some good hat durgs to get the art flow going :V

Cischiral

I am so sorry you haven't been feeling/doing well Wat. I had no idea. Do take care of yourself.

Sheeeeit this last couple weeks or so has been exactly that whole "head pain making draw-thinking hard" experience for me, so no dang wonder it's been a rough month for ya! I'd highly recommend looking for something like a botanical garden or zoo or basically any sort of "go outside and walk around at your own pace and look at neat stuff" activity; half a day spent doing something like that just MELTS entire months' worth of cabin fever away, I tell ya. Very seriously highly recommended. Plus if you go to a zoo, there is animals there and they are good for inspiring arts!

Damn, knowing what its like to get huge headaches so often makes me feel real sorry for you Wats, please do take good care of yourself, not so much for us but for you. Do take a little time off if you need to, seriously.

watsup

Agreed, I have been much more productive when I'm trying to do less, which is a bit counterintuitive.

watsup

I probably won't leave but I'll definitely be taking better care of myself :V

The Spyro trilogy! I've never played it before, it was a fun experience to beat a game, even if it was pretty simple. Good to start a bit simple.

watsup

I'm feeling a lot better the last few days, and am definitely trying to take better care of myself.

Just pushing myself to spend a lot of time working on art, and it resulted in a lot more headaches than usual, and some pretty restless sleep.

watsup

Might just opt to fit in some workout time every so often, I tend to sleep better when I'm physically exhausted (and not just mentally).

watsup

Probably just caused by not getting enough sleep and eye strain, I'll take better care of myself :V

If you have trouble sleeping due to deadline or other related stress I strongly recommend Valerian root -- its cheap, over-the-counter, non-addictive (unlike many sleep aids), and non-dependence forming (unlike almost all other sleep aids). It was a life saver for me in the stressful bits of grad-school. Yah ... and try getting outside more than once a year, that is a very terrifying concept to hear about and cannot be good for your health or happiness. Especially in moments where you have a "block" on getting something done, just go for a walk to clear your head. Or steel Wonder's bike or something. It will make a difference to go gently exercise off a mental block on doing work trust me.

God yes, exercise is like, the panacea for like 90%+ of Computer/Artist-People-Problems

Got a lot of stuff on my plate, it's just a lot of anxiety I think, I shouldn't complain too much because I'm not really in a bad place. A lot of things are going really well for me and I think I'll do fine once I balance stuff out a bit more.
