Progress Report - December 6, 2023 (Patreon)

Hello, all!

I apologize for the very late Progress Report.

I've spent the past week going through a dozen or so different ideas for minivids, putting together storyboards, vibing them out, seeing what all works and what all doesn't. It's been a week where we need to have a serious discussion of what all "being productive" means.

Because if we want to describe "being productive" as me actively exploring and experimenting and, you know, doing things, then it's been a terribly productive week. But if we want to describe "being productive" as making presentable forward progress on something specific, then it's been a terribly unproductive week. Because pretty much everything I've made in the past week has ended up getting scrapped or shelved for one reason or another.

And while I've been struggling and failing to come up with a minivid, I've been making good progress on a side-project of mine, spending an hour every other evening on it. Side projects are things I do frequently, to explore ideas I don't think really fit anywhere else. They're "just for me" projects, most of them are never even meant to be seen by other people.

This specific side-project is an idea I've had for a very long time, centered around DVa and Zarya. The astute among you may have noticed that I have shipped the two a few times in the past, with little one-off comics and what-not. I think they're an absolutely adorable couple.

And while I was working on it last night, after scrapping three different minivid storyboards I put together earlier that day, a sudden revelation came to me as it passed the two-minute mark: I could just make this side-project by January's minivid.

And so you know what, fuck it. That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm having fun making it, I'm sure others will like it, too. An argument could be made that it steps on Overbreed's toes, being a futanari Overwatch project, but at the same time Overbreed is still a very long ways out from its first episode being done, and Zarya x DVa isn't even a thing in it anyways. So, fuck it.

Rather than going over all the failed minivid ideas, this post will just focus on the DVa / Zarya project. Mostly just some thoughts and the major ideas behind it, since I'm not ready to show off the whole storyboard yet.

So the first big (heh) idea I had here was Zarya having an absolutely and frankly ridiculously huge cock, that DVa just absolutely worships. I'm a simple man, I like huge-cock worship. Something about a woman eagerly licking a cock larger than her torso just sets off monkey neurons.

However, it is important to me that their relationship is more than just sexual, but that DVa and Zarya are in a genuinely romantic relationship. They have cute pet names for each other, Cuddle Bunny and Mama Bear respectively, and they are utterly unafraid to show their affection in public. They even *gasp* hold hands. Or, rather, Zarya wraps her hand around DVa's fist, because size difference. Though their public affection does have limits - while DVa absolutely adores it when Zarya literally carries her around in private, cradling her as they kiss, she finds it extremely embarrassing when Zarya swipes her off her feet and carries her around in public. Which, of course, Zarya does to tease her - her cuddle bunny is adorable when she gets flustered.

Another aspect I really want to explore with this pairing is an idea I've had for a long time, of someone having a cock that's literally too big to fuck. Maybe it's a weird crossing of the logical brain and the horny brain, but I love taking the horny idea of huge cocks to their logical extreme of cocks that physically can't fit inside their partner, and then exploring it in a horny context.

In this case, sex betwixt them involves Zarya exclusively going down on DVa and fingering her, while DVa makes extensive use of her tongue and manual stimulation - hands, body, thighs - on Zarya. DVa can't suck Zarya's cock, as much as she wants to, but she can lick to her heart's desire! And her heart desires!

Continuing the logical-brain-following-horny-brain theme, this results in some tension in their relationship. Zarya is perfectly happy with their situation: she's long ago accepted that she is too massive to ever have penetrative sex, and she is very much a giver besides - eating her Cuddle Bunny out to screaming orgasm is more satisfying to her than any orgasm she's ever had (and DVa makes sure to always bring her to orgasm, eagerly putting her mouth over Zarya's tip and swallowing her loads).

But DVa is far more conflicted with the arrangement, feeling distress from two directions. Zarya of course tries to dissuade her of that notion, but DVa's insecurity is very deep-seated. As such, she's taken it upon herself to size-train with increasingly large sex toys, in a desperate bid to build up the physical capacity to have sex with Zarya.

Zarya appreciates her ambition and dedication and respects her efforts, but is quick to remind DVa that her toys, no matter how respectively massive, simply do not compare to her own girth. She does this not to shut DVa down, but to keep her expectations in check - and, of course, constantly reassures DVa that she doesn't need to prove anything to her, that Zarya loves her unconditionally and is satisfied so long as DVa is satisfied.

Which, independent of her insecurities, segues into another problem: DVa is a hypersexual size queen. She didn't get those huge sex toys originally for having sex with Zarya, but rather originally wanted to have sex with Zarya because she was even bigger than her huge sex toys. Their relationship eventually blossomed into the deep and fulfilling one they have now, but for DVa at least, it began purely as an outlet for sexual lust.

DVa at first took Zarya's size as a challenge, an eager justification for desperately fucking herself with huge toys, with the goal of finally fitting Zarya's massive cock. And for her part, Zarya enjoyed watching her Cuddle Bunny frantically squeal as she impaled herself on improbably-large hunks of fantastically-molded silicone. It made her happy, and her happiness makes Zarya happy.

But over time, as DVa failed to make the gains she hoped to make, as she never seemed to get any closer to fitting her lover, she grew despondent, and Zarya could see that. While Zarya was perfectly happy with DVa's love and tongue, she could see that her Cuddle Bunny desperately needed a genuine dicking-down, that mouth and toy simply weren't enough for her.

And that is when Zarya brought up the idea of asking Brigitte to be their bull. I don't know how much of this backstory is really going to fit into the 5-minute minivid, but those are all the thoughts for it regardless. The story itself begins at the end of all of this, and we'll just see where it goes from there. So far, I have just shy of 2 minutes of animation drafting put together for it all, which these clips are from. The unanimated clips are just placeholders for the sake of story pacing.

So yeah. That's that. This is a story idea I've been experimenting with in some form or another since at least March 2022, if not earlier. So it's been sitting in my head for over a year now. Figured that now is as good a time as any as to finally formally get it out.

If an idea kicks around that long, might as well make it, right? Would love to hear peoples' thoughts on it all.

I already have a DVa voice in Silky, as well as a Zarya in Bordeaux (voiced Zarya in Overbreed Episode 0). I need to check with them both and see if they're available and interested, and I also need to look about casting a Brigitte. Overbreed's going to need a Brigitte eventually anyways, so casting her early is just less work for future me.
