Progress Report - October 18, 2023 (Patreon)

Bleh.

Hasn't been a good week, if the fact this Monday Progress Report is being published on Wednesday, with a single unfinished image. That's only half the intended image.

That's really the crux of it, too. "Only half of the intent." That's been my week. Anything I try to work on, I only get about halfway through what I intend to get done, and then just lose interest and give up. I don't even have the motivation to explain the context behind this image.

Not really much to say. If you've been around for a while, you know I fall into these slumps sometimes. Depression is a bitch. I usually keep it on the ropes, but sometimes it gets a good hit or two in.

And if you've been around for a while, you know there's nothing to worry about. Just like I slide into these slumps, I slide out of them. Hopefully next week I'll be out of this funk and able to return to firing on all cylinders.

Seeing as it's already Wednesday and I've been feeling this way since last Thursday, it may take a few more days. I'll try to make a Progress Report next Monday, but if it comes and goes, don't be surprised.

I haven't even had the motivation to fiddle in Unreal these past few days, which is pretty extreme because I absolutely LOVE programming and LOVE experimenting with new things. I have to force myself to even play an hour of Starfield at a time, not because I don't like Starfield, but because I just get so stuck in my head that hours seem to slip out from under me as I try to convince myself to do anything.

As I said though, I'll get out of my head. It just takes time. Rarely more than 2 weeks, and it's already been about a week so, fingers crossed.
