Progress Report - September 25, 2023 (Patreon)

Hello, everyone!

I have officially resumed work on Overbreed Ep1 today, getting about a minute and a half of new footage put together. You can click here to check the WIP out. 

I need to properly sort out my WIPs. Like with the Frozen project, I didn't transfer all the raw renders for Overbreed Ep1 when I reinstalled Windows, so all I have to go off are the video releases that I've made public over its production life cycle.

One my goals for this week is to reconstruct the running WIP of the animation, and put together a complete WIP of everything, just as a refresher because it's been so damn long, what with the Claire/Jill video taking an ungodly long time (22 minutes of animation will do that!), and then the Linkin Park music video taking about 3 weeks longer than I intended it to.

But! We're finally back on schedule. I've been saying since before Claire/Jill was done that the planned schedule was Claire/Jill -> Minivid -> Overbreed Ep1 -> Blue Star Ep4 (with some minivids in between because Ep1 is going to take so fucking long to produce, being expected to land somewhere in the 40-to-60-minute range, as I've detailed before).

The Linkin Park music video wasn't meant to be a month-long venture. When I started it (while I was back home helping my mum around the house as she recovered from her open-heart surgery), I expected it to only take about a week or so. Not nearly 4 weeks. It ended up being more work than any of my 10-minute videos to date, and it's only a 3-minute video. Fuck me.

The Chloe/Max Minivid is almost ready for release as well, my sound designer is hoping to send me a draft to review tomorrow. So hopefully before next week it'll finally be out. Again, I apologize for all the delays with that.

And then as I've sort of implied, the Linkin Park music video is done as well. Right now I'm just using my Discord to farm things to fix before I begin the final 4k render. Then it's a matter of creating all of the social media and posting it around. I intend to go full tilt with the SFW stuff, with YouTube Shorts, TikTok videos, both a Tumblr and a Twitter. The works.

Expect a short post about all of that, once the social media is all made and the music video is posted, coming sometime later this week as well. I'll be having the music video rendering on my secondary machine over the next few days while I work on Overbreed Ep1, but once the video is done rendering, I'll be focusing on getting it out the door. The Chloe/Max minivid takes first priority though, since it's so far overdue.

So yeah. We're cooking with gas once again! Hopefully I'll be seeing you all sooner than next Monday, with the Minivid release and the SFW account launch. But if not, then I'll see you all next Monday!
