Progress Report (& Misc Bin!) - September 19, 2022 (Patreon)

Hello, everyone!

As per my plans described in last week's Progress Report, I spent this past week focusing on building as many Gaige animations as I could. In total, I ended up with 15 unique positions for Gaige to get her guts rearranged in. The fact that Deathtrap doesn't have legs and instead just floats through some undiscernible mechanism really opened up the possibilities.

Yes, that is indeed a light fixture that they're fucking on.

In addition to these 15 animations, I've also put together the narrative and screenplay for the Gaige project. It's nothing spectacular - just Gaige having the brilliant idea of welding a sex machine onto Deathtrap, losing track of time, and somehow managing to get her butt piston-rammed for three days straight. You know, a typical weekend in.

Indeed, you may have noticed that this Progress Report is actually on the $2 Misc Bin tier, rather than the $5 Progress Report tier. And that is because, given the imminence of the Gaige minivid - I am hoping to get it released in the first week of October (but then, I intended to get Overbreed Episode 0 released in the first week of August and we saw how that went...) - I've decided it'd be a bit wasteful to make another Misc Bin post just for this screenplay.

So, rather than depriving the criminally-underused Misc Bin further, I've decided to just kick this Progress Report down and let everyone have access to the Progress Report in full, as well as the screenplay.

Seeing as today wrapped up the animating and posing, I've moved into the voicing section. I've already gotten InsideIncognita cast as Mad Moxxi (non-lewd role) - she's been wanting to voice Moxxi for over 5 years now. And I have just sent out an email for a prospective voice for Gaige - having this particular talent voice Gaige has been on mind for about as long as Innie has wanted to voice Moxxi.

With any luck, I will have all of the audio in before next week's progress report. That'd put us on the 26th. Hopefully I'll be able to quickly install it, and then fire it off to my sound designer. And hopefully he won't decide to get ambitious and spend 2 and a half weeks composing a soundtrack, so it should go rather quickly.

It is actually entirely feasible that this video will be ready for release by October 1. That's cutting it really close to the wire, don't get me wrong. But it is feasible.

Beyond the Gaige video, the Claire/Jill video is also making major strides. As I was knee-deep in Deathtrap being balls-deep in Gaige, all of the audio for the Claire/Jill project came in. Silky's dub and non-dub audio, and Sultry's dub and non-dub audio.

In the short breather I will get firing everything off for the Gaige video getting voiced, I will be going through the 56 minutes of raw audio that I've been sent, choosing best takes, aligning dubs, and adjustment flows for everything to run together. I probably won't get the Claire/Jill audio done and ready for the next stage of processing (again, it's nearly an hour of audio to process in less than a week), but I'll at least have that Goliathan task started.

Once the Gaige video is done, I will be finally able to return my attention to Overbreed Episode 1. My attention will be split between it and Claire/Jill until the point I have Claire/Jill ready to fire off to my sound designer. I suspect that is going to take a very long time for him to process, if Overbreed Episode 0 is anything to go by. So that should give us a long, clean stretch of me being able to focus on Overbreed Episode 1.

And boy, I can't tell you just how excited I am to finally do that. I've been ready to work on OBE1 for, like, the last 3 months now. At least.
