Progress Report - December 24, 2021 (Patreon)

Hello, everyone.

Yes, this is the progress report for the 24th. Yes, it is being posted on the 27th. Yes, I am aware of how late it is.

I'll keep this brief.

Zarya / DVa has made no progress. Pretty much my entire week went into working on my Frozen Christmas Special Stream. You can click here to watch the narrative video my week into. The stream itself was a fizzle, as I had to cancel it early due to feeling sick. I'm fine now.

I've been quietly working on a Marie project proof-of-concept over the past few weeks. The high-level is Marie and Honoka share their "fantasy night out." Honoka's is wholesome cuddle times with Marie. Marie's is getting gangbanged by a football team. I've done a few test animations. You can click here to watch the test animations. They've gone well. I am now working on building a new Marie because the one used in those tests has a lot of bitrot and is just unpleasant to work with. No eta on this project.

After spending 3+ hours editing the text onto the Frozen video, I made a tool to expedite my ability to create these storyboard videos. It will be used in the pre-audio drafts of the aforementioned Zarya / DVa storyboard, as well as other storyboards as I come up with them. DancesWithWolves has finally finished his rebuild of Mass Effect's Jack. You can see his awesome work by clicking here. It's taken him almost exactly a year, and I cannot be happier with the result. He did a fantastic job of following her original tattoos, across ME2, ME3, and the official artbook, as closely as he could. And he did an even better job designing new tattoos in the same aesthetic for her lower body. This is a huge step forward in the pre-production for Blue Star Episode 4, which will likely be my next major project after I finish Overbreed Episode 1. I may or may not do a smaller video in between. I have not decided yet.

The Elizabeth one-off video is in the shop for polishing. I have finished all of the lip-sync and detail face animation, leaving scenebuilding, lighting, and detail body animations. It is targeting January 1 for release. We'll see if render times agree with me, though. The Femshep one-off took like 36 hours to render, and the Liz video is twice the runtime. So, uhh. Yeah. Render times will decide when it releases.

I've been workshopping a few other things behind the scenes. Nothing ready to share. Nothing may ever be shared. We'll see how things fall out.

This week I will be focusing on the Liz video. If I find the time, I will work on the DVa / Zarya storyboard. Might also work on the Witcher ladies a bit, they're making good progress. Possibly even workshop their video storyboard as well.
