Progress Report - March 19, 2021 (Patreon)

Howdy all.

Not too much to report, really. I've gotten 18 of 30 pages of the DVa comic edited (with pages 7, 8, and 9 going up for early access earlier today). Hopefully by next week I will be just about done with the editing. And maybe by the week after, I will finally be fully done, and ready to get back to animating the Rachel film.

I don't regret deciding to make this comic. I just regret the way I went about it. It was supposed to be a cutesie little 3-page comic. Not a 30-page behemoth. But now I know. Comics in the future will be much more measured and carefully managed, so as to avoid them consuming all of my time.

I was hoping to have all of the pages edited and ready to share by this time. That is not happening, sorry to say.

Speaking of editing this beast, though: The Photoshop file has recently passed 2000 unique objects. At first that seems like a lot, but then you see the segments in this post's image, see the sheer number of sound-effect cues used to signify DVa getting her cute little brains fucked out, and suddenly that number doesn't seem so out of place.

And these are only a few highlights of just how insane this comic gets. I hope you all have been enjoying it thus far, cuz the ride is just beginning when it comes to the formally-released pages.
