Progress Report - August 23, 2020 (Patreon)

Hey everyone.

Sorry for this being a few days late. Had another busy end of week.

Liziverse

Not too much to report. All of Innie's first takes have been processed and installed. Her first (and hopefully last) batch of retakes was sent in a few days ago, but I haven't had the time to process them. I have also brought in another collaborator for video editing a small segment. I haven't had the time to check her work yet either, but I am confident that it's better than what I would have come up with for that sequence.

With any luck, though, I will have the working copy rendered out, the final layout edited together in Premiere, and the working cut sent to my sound designer sometime later this week. Once that's done, then lip-syncing and detail-animating can commence.

Overbreed

Most of my attention these past few days has gone here, if the big preview image for the post hadn't of suggested it already.

During the livestream on Saturday 15, my PC crashed hard and it somehow fucked up the RAID array on my work drive. It took 5 hours to rebuild, during which time I couldn't access anything on that drive - leaving pretty much just my Windows drive and my network drive available. Unable to SFM or 3dsMax, I instead spent that time searching for Overbreed references (Chrome is on my Windows drive) and writing out high-level Overbreed stuff (stored on my network drive).

Episode 1 is completely drafted out at a high-level. Episode 3's B-side is drafted out, and I have a mental progression for the A-side but no references put together yet. Episode 2's A-side is drafted out, and I am in the process of extending its B-side.

Episode 1 is 8/17 (the A-side has 8 references, the B-side has 17 references), and Episode 3 is ? / 23. Episode 2, by comparison, is currently only 6 / 10. Even with Episode 3's A-side not cut out yet, both Episodes 1 and 3 are longer than 2, which is why I am extending 2's B-side. I will probably end up cutting out some of Episode 3's B-side once the A-side is cut.

I'm not trying to force each episode into a strict template, but I want to keep them at least comparable in terms of their length. I'm thinking 20-30 references between A- and B-sides is a good target per episode.

As the preview image suggests, I am trying to make each encounter have some unique flavor or theme to them, to keep the individual sequences fresh. And also as the preview image suggests, I really have no idea what to do with Ashe. She's easily the weakest link of the whole project, and I have been considering dropping her entirely. As of right now, the only reasons I'm keeping her in are because she keeps the A/B pacing in place; including her means all of the Overwatch ladies in the game at the time of my starting drafting this project are included; and I already have a voice actress in mind who can do a great Jennifer Hale impression.

Speaking of voice actresses, Innie was optimistic about voicing Sombra. She was confident she could pull off a Mexican accent, seeing as she lives close to the US/Mexico border in Texas. She gave it a spin though, and was so distressed with how poorly she did the accent that she wasn't even comfortable sending me the audition file. I am trying to convince her to at least send in a recorded audition, but I don't think that's going to happen. So I might end up having to open casting for Sombra up - if you happen to know anyone who you think could pull off a decent Sombra voice, then please feel free to suggest they send me a message about it.

Once Liziverse is out the door, I will go public with these plans and casting, but I'm open to any interest between then and now.

 As you might have figured, the right side of the preview image is a mock-up of character heights, roughly character bodytypes, and futa sizes. The DOAFantasy P3 models are actually pretty convenient to use for rough character mock-ups. Interestingly, Mercy's 11-inch dick is arguably the most reasonable one given her physique, with the rest of them ranging from Widow's "a bit out there" to Mei's "lost deep in hentai territory."

Humorously, the Tracer/Widow episode has Widowmaker attempting small-penis-humiliation on Tracer. Tracer points out than 10 inches isn't exactly small (though hilariously she does have the smallest penis of the whole miniseries), but that doesn't stop Widow from teasing her as part of their rivalry.

I suppose all of that is to say that, I hope no one who was interested in Overbreed was hoping for small-dicked (or even reasonably-sized, in all honesty) futa ladies. I believe in going big or going home. And we're already home thanks to Covid, so we're going big!

As a final note, I have updated the Overbreed bible over on the Google Drive. You can find the Bible here, and the Google Drive as a whole here. All of Episode 1's high-level has been added, as well as a few more character sections of the Overbreed lore. The A-side of Episode 2 has been written out as well.
