Hello everyone! Progress report 4 of 8!

I apologize for not posting this yesterday (as is scheduled). I wanted to hold off because I was on the cusp of hitting a milestone, but it was simply too late last night to reach it.

Today, I hit that milestone:

All of the final timing is locked!

Yes, I've gotten all of the audio back, and have installed all of the non-dub audio and adjusted the timings. My time projections were overall pretty good, with the exception of the car sequence, which I ended up shorting by a whopping 18 seconds - or nearly 27% of its blocked-out runtime!

Of course, saying I've installed all the non-dub audio implies that I've also blocked out those last few sequences that weren't blocked out as of last Progress Report. And more importantly, having all of the non-dub audio installed implies only the dub animations remain to have their audio installed, which by their nature should have their runtime locked (otherwise the dub audio doesn't fit!)

Which means that I can now safely and officially declare the following: the raw SFM runtime for Rabbit.Hole Episode 3 is 11:20. Note that this is not the final runtime - there are some crossfades which consume a few seconds of footage, some inserts that extend the runtime a few seconds, and then of course the intro and credits. But I have 11:20 worth of footage to render out at 2160p.

Here is the final runtime breakdown:

Additionally, as the post image suggests, I have also began processing the dub audio as well. I have all of Silky's audio installed for DVa, and will be installing Steve's dub audio for Plowman over the weekend. My goal is to have a final cut put together and sent out to Tonedeaf for doing the final pass of sound design before I go to bed on Monday.

Which means that, universe willing, Progress Report #5 should have some WIP footage of lip-sync to share. Progress Report #6 should be finishing up the lip-sync on everything, and Progress Report #7 should be finishing up all of the narrative and detail animation. With any luck, there won't be a Progress Report #8 at all, because everything will be rendered and ready for release!

That's the road we're heading down. Now let's hope no stray ducks cross the path and cause me to swerve off the side of the cliff...

Until next week, everyone!
