Misc Bin + Progress Report Freebie Update (Patreon)

Howdy everyone. So this post is a bit different, in that it is both a Misc Bin post and a progress report post - and it's available to all Patrons (I would make it Public, but Patreon doesn't like NSFW content being Public, so this is the best I can do).

I'm gonna do the Progress Report first. Long and short of it is this: Surrosluts release has been pushed back to January 31. I don't like doing it, but there's just no way I can reasonably get it done with any degree of quality while still being fair to the people who work with me on these projects - both acting-wise and production-wise.

There's a fair chance it will be ready before January 31, but we're just calling it January 31. This bleeds into the next thing I want to say:

I will be gone for half of January. Specifically between January 4 and January 18, I will be with family. As such, I won't be able to get much any work done. I might be able to get some practice done here and there, maybe a little bit of modeling work, but certainly no meaningful work on Surrosluts.

Ideally, I will have everything out for dubbing and will have all of the animation itself in place before I leave. Due to the unique structure of this short, there is no dialogue that needs to be dubbed - the dialogue has already been recorded, leaving only sex sounds for dubbing. Which means that I am physically able to get all of the lip-syncing done with the exception of those sex sounds.

If I can manage to get that done, then it would mean that when I return on the 18th, all that I have left to do is the sex-sound lip-sync and final renders. Having dubbing audio come in while I am away on vacation is fine, because I will hopefully have the working render that I can pair with the audio and then send off to my sound designer, and he can work on his final mix whilst I am away.

All of which means that we could, in theory, see a release as early as January 19. That's highly unlikely (and there is actually a possibility of releasing while I am on vacation, if literally all I have left to do is render and VFX, both of which are low-impact and I could get done in the evenings while family sleep). But, again, just to be safe, let's just say January 31.

I can't overstate how unhappy I was (and am) to push it back. It put me in such a sour mood I actually took the rest of the week off from working on the project (after such an intense grind to try and get everything done in time, I ended up falling 3 days behind schedule before I threw in the towel and decided it just can't be reasonably done in such a short timeframe). Production will be resuming on Sunday.

That bad mood and subsequent break is why there's been no Misc Bins or Progress Reports this week. I apologize for both, though you didn't miss much in either department. In fact, I've been redirecting most of that energy with more model research. If you follow my Twitter, then you're likely well aware of the deluge of modeling experiments I've been posting the past few days.

Regardless, I am here now, and I am hoping that this open communication and making this post as-close-to-public-as-Patreon-will-allow-me can at least make up for it to some degree.

With that being said, let's do the Misc Bin stuff. Got 3 stills and 1 animation here, and 2 of these have some interesting ideas I might want to pursue more. Let's break them down.

01: As you can probably guess, this isn't actually a Misc Bin. It's a still from Surrosluts. I have all of the camera angles done and have a working copy exported out, but it currently needs to be cut down. That is the next thing to do, before getting it out for dubbing, and is what I will be tackling on Sunday while I put together the bukkake sequence. As of right now, the sex scene run time (by itself) is 12:30, but the final cut will likely be far shorter than that. I'm taking a different approach to cutting down the runtime of the sex sequence, and am taking into account opinions of people whom I trust with this sort of task.

02: A silly idea, streamer Marie kicking ass whilst motorboating Honoka. Not much more to say.

03: In stark contrast, there is a lot to say about this one! The idea behind this one is that it is an excerpt into those things that Elizabeth learned during her time in Paris, as brought up in the banter of No Gods, No Kings. I had (and have) aspirations of a micro-video (only a minute or so in length), of Elizabeth narrating in voice-over the "game": guys fuck her and cum in her mouth, no swallowing allowed. If she manages to hold 30 loads in her mouth then she "wins"; spill a single drop, and the game starts all over again. It took Elizabeth 3 days to win her first round, but the subsequent rounds were much easier.

I still like this idea, and I like the grander idea of Elizabeth's time in Paris being a series of depraved sex "games" like this. I'd love to hear some interesting suggestions of other games that could be played in Paris, and how they could be related in a micro-video.

I'm eyeballing having such a micro-video be put together live on-stream, between the Harley video and Overbreed Chapter 1. No commitments yet, but it's a thought.

04 [Animated]: This one also has some bigger machinations behind it. Gaige and Chell are largely interchangeable characters in this particular sandbox area of my mind, with a general theme of depraved sex acts with robots.

Gaige and Deathtrap have a unique appeal to me, because the Borderlands hand-waving of "digistruct" means that I can have apparatus and appendages appear and disappear arbitrarily on Deathtrap to serve a particular purpose. Additional arms, sex pistons, vibrators, really anything - Borderlands lore gives me an easy out of having those come into and out of play, without needing to figure out the physical logistics of getting them all into Deathtraps' body. Something I wish I came up with the last time I experimented with a Gaige & Deathtrap project. All of this would play into a story of Gaige experimenting with a new "personal" program for Deathtrap.

Chell is unique in that Aperture, Portal, and Chell are both pretty loose with their canon while also have a lot of fantastical elements in them. While there isn't the convenience of Borderlands' "digistruct" to allow things to just spontaneously appear, highly modular and specialized components are the bread and butter to Portal and Portal 2's aesthetic. Borrowing from a Chell idea I posted earlier, the idea of a "Mistress Core" being intimate with Chell in the past is interesting to me, and that particular setup lends itself to a lot of bondage sequences that I feel would be more awkward to naturally introduce into the Gaige ideas.

All in all, I'm not sure which idea I am leaning toward more - Gaige gearing Deathtrap up to be the ultimate fuck-toy, or Chell taking a reprieve from being hunted by Glados in the Aperture Sex Dungeon - nor do I even know when I could find the time to make such a project. There is only one film slot free in 2020, and that is Quarter 4, and I already have a project in early preproduction for that slot. It's not 100% committed, but it's going to take a lot to displace it, and I just don't know if Chell or Gaige have that sort of power.

Oh well, I suppose there's always 2021.

And on the subject of scheduling, I intend to post a semi-formal schedule both here and on Twitter on January 1. Now that Patreon can actually pin posts, it will be the pinned post for 2020. It'll be married to a healthy discussion of my schedule for 2020 and the next few years to boot.
