Blue Star Episode 3 - Progress Report (November 29, 2018) (Patreon)

Hello everyone! Another week, another progress report!

For this week's progress report, I decided to share one of the more comedic moments in the episode. While Episode 3 is far more serious and dramatic than the first episode, and even more than the second, it does still have its roots in the humor that started it all. I felt like it would be worth demonstrating that, with what is likely the most obvious case of the humor involved.

Onto more technical news!

So, my initial projections for this week didn't come out as initially hoped. The sheer amount of parts that need to be detailed proved to be more time-consuming than I originally anticipated. As such, rather than my original plan of getting a part done a day, I have instead been working to get a part done every two days (or, as I have been thinking of it, a half part done every day).

As such, I have finished the first half of part 3's detailing today. Assuming I stay on schedule, then all of the detailing will be done by December 2. From there, I will be condensing the next three objectives all in one pass: lighting (should be trivial; all of the lighting is basically done anyways), camera animation (should be trivial as well), and emotion animation.

For those, I am expecting to do one part per day, meaning that by December 6 I should be ready to hit the Big Red Button and get the renders doing. I am expecting it to take about 3 solid days to render out, and so I am hoping to begin post-production by December 10.
