Harley Short - Scrapped (Patreon)

 The reason it’s being scrapped is I just don’t like the core idea behind it. When I first conceived the idea, I thought it was pretty poor, but I decided to rough it out - maybe I could save it. But after revising the script twice, I just decided it’s an objectively poor idea.

An advantage of working independently is I have the control to decide to pull the plug on projects. If I’m not feeling a project 100%, then I don’t have to go through with an idea I have no confidence in. That way, I can ensure that people always get the best I have to offer.

Some ideas just aren’t worth being completed. I just wish I had smothered this idea in the crib, before expectations were built up.

I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it. Believe me when I say I'm not happy about this. Even if I am relieved to finally cut this dead weight.

This is really sad, Harley is a fav of mine. If you want a hand at writing a Harley story let me know. I'm a good writer and know the character very well.

Well, the issues with Harley were that I know the general idea of the character, but not enough about her intricacies to write a convincing impression. Contrast to the people you mentioned, whom I have never even heard of before, and have absolutely no idea who they are whatsoever. Who knows, maybe that blind writing could work to my advantage. But, I have no plans for it. Sorry.
